    Locate the battery compartment on the back of the unit. Insert one AAA battery, ensuring correct polarity. The display will activate.

  2. Probe Connection:

    Insert the stainless steel probe's jack firmly into the port on the side of the thermometer unit.

  3. Kuiswa:

    Position the thermometer unit using either the magnetic back to attach it to a metal surface (e.g., oven door, refrigerator) or extend the fold-out stand for countertop use.

Operating Instruction

  1. Isa Probe: Carefully insert the tip of the probe into the thickest part of the food, avoiding bone or gristle. For oven temperature, position the probe tip within the oven cavity, ensuring the cable is not pinched.
  2. Power On: Press the ON/OFF button to activate the thermometer.
  3. Sarudza Chikamu: Press the °F/°C button to toggle between Fahrenheit and Celsius display.
  4. Set Food Temperature Alarm:
    • Press the MODE button until "FOOD" is selected.
    • Press the NYAMA button to cycle through pre-programmed meat types (e.g., Beef, Pork, Chicken) or press SET to manually adjust the target temperature using the HR uye MIN mabhatani.
    • Press ALERT ON/OFF to activate the alarm. The alarm will sound when the food reaches the set temperature.
  5. Set Oven Temperature Alarm:
    • Press the MODE button until "OVEN" is selected.
    • Press SET to manually adjust the target oven temperature using the HR uye MIN mabhatani.
    • Press ALERT ON/OFF to activate the alarm. The alarm will sound when the oven reaches the set temperature.

Timer Basa

  1. Sarudza Timer Mode: Press the MODE button until "TIMER" is selected.
  2. Seta Nguva: Shandisa iyo HR uye MIN buttons to set the desired countdown time (up to 10 hours).
  3. Kutanga/Mira: Press the TANGA/MIRA button to begin or pause the countdown.

Maintenance
