Setup Instructions

  1. Batanidza iyo DisplayPort End: Locate the DisplayPort output on your computer, desktop, or laptop. Insert the male DisplayPort connector of the BENFEI adapter into this port. Ensure it clicks securely into place.
  2. Batanidza VGA Cable: Obtain a standard VGA cable (not included). Connect one end of the VGA cable to the female VGA port on the BENFEI adapter.
  3. Batanidza kuChiratidziro: Connect the other end of the VGA cable to the VGA input port on your monitor, projector, or HDTV.
  4. Secure Connection: The DisplayPort connector features latches for a secure connection. When disconnecting, press the release button on the DisplayPort connector before pulling it out to prevent damage.

Operating Modes

Once connected, your computer should automatically detect the external display. You can configure the display settings in your operating system to utilize either Mirror Mode or Extended Mode.

  • Mirror Mode: Duplicates your computer's screen onto the external display. Useful for presentations or sharing content.
  • Yakawedzerwa Nzira: Extends your desktop across both displays, allowing you to have different content on each screen. This mode enhances productivity.

Maintenance

- Test the adapter with a different DisplayPort source device or VGA display if available to isolate the issue.
Flickering or unstable image:
- Check for loose connections. Re-seat both ends of the adapter and the VGA cable.
- Ensure your display resolution and refresh rate are supported by the adapter (up to 1920x1080@60Hz).
- Try a different VGA cable.
Adapter is not bi-directional:
- This adapter is designed to convert DisplayPort to VGA only. It cannot convert VGA to DisplayPort. Ensure your source device has a DisplayPort output and your display has a VGA input.
