Press the red Power button (●) to turn the device on. Press and hold the Power button to turn it off.
2. Frequency Weighting (A/C):
Press the A/C button to switch between A-weighting and C-weighting.
- A-weighting (dBA): Mimics the human ear's response to sound, commonly used for environmental noise measurements.
- C-weighting (dBC): Provides a flatter response, suitable for measuring peak sound levels or noise from machinery.
3. Time Weighting (Fast/Slow):
Press the F/S button to select between Fast and Slow time weighting.
- Kutsanya: Responds quickly to changes in sound level (sampling rate: 2 times/second). Ideal for capturing sudden noise peaks.
- Kunonoka: Provides an averaged reading over a longer period (sampling rate: 1 time/second). Suitable for measuring stable noise levels.
4. Max Hold Function:
Press the Max button to display the maximum sound level recorded since the function was activated. Press again to exit Max Hold.
5. Data Recording:
Press the Rec button to start recording data. The device can store up to 32,000 readings. Press Rec again to stop recording. Recorded data can be downloaded to a computer using the supplied software.
