2. Setup
2.1 Connecting the Handset
- Connect one end of the coiled handset cord to the handset.
- Connect the other end of the coiled handset cord to the jack labeled HANDISI on the side of the phone base unit.
2.2 Connecting the Telephone Line
- Connect one end of the telephone line cord to the jack labeled LINE on the back of the phone base unit.
- Connect the other end of the telephone line cord to your wall telephone jack.

The UNIDEN AS6404 is designed to operate without an external power adapter or batteries for basic functions, drawing power directly from the telephone line. This feature ensures functionality even during power outages. 3. Basic Operation

3.5 Redialing the Last Number

4. Advanced Features

4.1 Caller ID
The phone supports Caller ID (CID) for both incoming and outgoing calls, provided you have subscribed to the service from your telephone provider.
- Incoming CID: Stores up to 61 incoming call records. Use the UP/PASI navigation buttons to review nhoroondo yekufona.
- Outgoing CID: Stores up to 16 outgoing call records with conversation time review.
4.2 LCD Display Settings
The backlit LCD displays the Year, Month, Date, and Time. Refer to the phone's menu or SET button for instructions on adjusting these settings.

You can adjust the ringer volume to High (HI), Medium (MID), Low (LOW), or Off (OFF) to suit your environment. Use the dedicated RINGER button or menu option to cycle through the settings.
4.4 Flash Time Selection
The flash time is selectable (100 / 300 / 600ms) to ensure compatibility with various telephone systems (PABX, etc.). Adjust this setting via the phone's menu if you experience issues with call transfer or conference features.
4.5 Message Waiting Lamp (MWL)
The Message Waiting Lamp (MWL) indicates when you have new messages in your voicemail service (PULSE, FSK, DTMF compatible). This feature requires subscription to a voicemail service from your telephone provider.
4.6 Tone/Pulse Dialing Mode
The phone supports both Tone and Pulse dialing modes. Select the appropriate mode based on your telephone line service. This setting is usually found in the phone's setup menu.
4.7 Ringer Tone Selection
Choose from various ringer tones to personalize your phone. Consult the user interface for available options and selection method.
4.8 Alarm Clock Basa
The integrated alarm clock function allows you to set a wake-up or reminder alarm. Access this feature through the phone's menu settings.

- Pre Dial Function: Allows you to enter a number before lifting the handset or initiating a call.
