The SharkBite Faucet Connector is designed for use with 1/2 inch CTS (Copper Tube Size) pipes. It is compatible with PEX, CPVC, PE-RT, SDR-9 HDPE, and copper pipes.

  3. Mark Insertion Depth: Use a SharkBite depth and deburr tool (or refer to the insertion depth chart on SharkBite.com) to measure and mark the correct insertion depth on your pipe stub-out. For 1/2 inch CTS pipe, the insertion depth is approximately 15/16 inches (0.95 inches).
  4. Install the Stop Valve: Push the straight stop valve onto the pipe stub-out until it reaches the insertion mark you made. Ensure a firm and complete connection.
  5. Batanidza kuFaucet: Thread the Click Seal faucet connector onto your faucet's supply line. Hand tighten the nut until you hear an audible click, indicating a secure seal. Plumbing tape is not needed for this threaded connection.

4. Operating the Faucet Connector

Once installed, the integrated stop valve allows you to control the water flow to your faucet.

  • To Open Water Flow: Turn the handle on the stop valve to the 'open' position (typically aligned with the pipe).
  • To Close Water Flow: Turn the handle on the stop valve to the 'closed' position (typically perpendicular to the pipe). This allows you to shut off water to the faucet without affecting the rest of your plumbing system.
