5. Setup

- Batanidza Simba: Once the filter is securely mounted and fully submerged, plug the power cord into a suitable electrical outlet.

6. Operating Instructions
- Kunyudza: Ensure the filter is completely underwater at all times during operation. Running the filter dry can cause irreversible damage to the motor.
- Power On: Plug the filter into a grounded electrical outlet. The filter should start immediately, drawing water through the intake and expelling filtered water through the outlet.
- Tarisa Kuyerera: Verify that water is flowing out of the filter's outlet. If there is no flow or weak flow, unplug the unit, check for obstructions, and ensure proper submersion before plugging it back in.
- Kuenderera Kushanda: For optimal water quality, the filter should operate continuously.

7. Kuchengeta
Regular maintenance is crucial for the efficient operation and longevity of your filter, as well as for maintaining healthy aquarium conditions.
- Unplug: Always unplug the filter from the power source before beginning any maintenance.
- Bvisa Sefa: Carefully remove the filter unit from the aquarium.
- Clean Filter Sponge: Disassemble the filter casing to access the filter sponge. Rinse the sponge thoroughly with old aquarium water (from a water change) or dechlorinated tap water. Do not use untreated tap water as it can kill beneficial bacteria. Clean the sponge until most of the trapped debris is removed, but avoid excessive cleaning that might remove all beneficial bacteria.
- Impeller Yakachena: Periodically, remove the impeller cover and clean the impeller and its shaft. Hair, debris, or mineral buildup can impede its function.
- Resemble: Reassemble the filter components, ensuring all parts are correctly seated.
- Reinstall: Place the filter back into the aquarium, ensuring it is fully submerged, and then plug it back in.
Frequency: Clean the filter sponge every 2-4 weeks, or more frequently if water flow significantly decreases or the aquarium appears cloudy.
