2. Setup uye Gungano

The SUNLU S8 Plus 3D Printer comes 95% pre-assembled, allowing for quick and straightforward setup. Follow these steps to get your printer ready for its first print.

2.1 Quick Installation

The printer is designed for fast assembly, requiring only a few simple steps. This design also facilitates easy disassembly for upgrades or maintenance, supporting DIY enthusiasts.

  1. Insert the square-shaped nuts into the slots on each side of the gantry frame.
  2. Screw M5*8 bolts through the T-shaped fixing block with the squared nuts of each side of the gantry frame.
  3. Install 4 pieces of M5*25 bolts connecting the base frame and gantry frame.
  4. Secure the top frame with M5*12 screws.
  5. Attach the filament holder with M5*16 screws.
  6. Fasten any remaining components with M5*6 screws as indicated in the manual.

3. Key Features

3.1 Large Build Volume

3.3 Double-sided Movable Plate

3.4 Upgraded Components

Compared to the previous S8 version, the S8 Plus features several improvements, including an upgraded Extruder Spring, Swing-Arm, Filament Hanging Holder, and Carborundum Glass Bed, enhancing overall performance and user experience.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Simba On/Kudzima

To power on the printer, ensure all connections are secure and plug the power cord into a grounded outlet. Use the power switch located on the side of the machine to turn it on or off.

4.2 Kurodha Filament

Place the filament spool onto the filament hanging holder. Gently feed the filament through the filament detection sensor and into the extruder. Heat the nozzle to the appropriate temperature for your filament type (e.g., 200-220°C for PLA) and push the filament until it extrudes smoothly from the nozzle.

4.3 Kutanga Kudhinda

Prepare your 3D model using a slicing software (e.g., Cura) and save it to a TF card. Insert the TF card into the printer's card slot. Navigate the printer's menu to select your desired file and initiate the print. Ensure the print bed is properly leveled before starting.

4.4 Monitoring and Pausing Prints

Monitor the printing process to ensure proper adhesion and layer deposition. If necessary, you can pause the print via the printer's control panel. This is useful for filament changes or inspecting the print progress.
