The GBX45 is engineered with advanced features for reliable and safe jump starting:

Kutanga Charge

It is recommended to fully charge the GBX45 before first use. The unit comes partially charged from the factory. Use the included USB-C charging cable and a compatible USB-C power adapter (not included) to charge the unit. For fastest charging, a 60W USB-C Power Delivery adapter is recommended.

  1. Connect the small end of the USB-C cable to the USB-C IN/OUT port on the GBX45.
  2. Connect the large end of the USB-C cable to a USB-C power adapter.

  4. The charge LEDs on the GBX45 will illuminate, indicating the charging progress. All five charge LEDs will be solid white when fully charged.

Battery Level Indicator

The charge LEDs indicate the internal battery charge level:

  • 3 LEDs: 50-75%
  • 4 LEDs: 75-100%
  • 5 LEDs: 100% (Fully Charged)

    The GBX45 features UltraSafe 2.0 technology with spark-proof and reverse polarity protection. If connected incorrectly, the Error LED will illuminate.

  3. Power On: Press the Power Button on the GBX45. The Power LED will illuminate white. The Boost LED will also illuminate white, indicating it's ready to boost.
  4. Kutanga Mota: Attempt to start your vehicle. Most vehicles will start immediately. If the vehicle does not start, wait 30 seconds and try again. Do not attempt more than five (5) consecutive jump starts within a fifteen (15) minute period.
  5. Dimbura: Once the vehicle starts, disconnect the battery clamps in reverse order (negative first, then positive).

Manual Override Feature

The GBX45 has a manual override feature for extremely dead batteries where the unit may not detect the battery. Use this feature with extreme caution as safety features are disabled.

  • USB-A Output (10W): Connect your USB-A charging cable to the USB OUT port on the GBX45 and to your device.
  • USB-C Input/Output (60W): Connect your USB-C charging cable to the USB-C IN/OUT port on the GBX45 and to your device. This port supports faster charging for compatible devices.

The GBX45 will automatically detect and begin charging your connected device. The charge LEDs will indicate the remaining battery level of the GBX45.
