Setup uye Installation
Installation of the Intellitronix LED Digital Gauge Panel requires basic automotive electrical and mechanical knowledge. Professional installation is recommended if you are not familiar with these procedures.
Pre-Instalation Matanho:
- Bvisa bhatiri remotokari kudzivirira mashoti emagetsi.
- Carefully remove the existing instrument cluster from the dashboard. Refer to your vehicle's service manual for specific removal procedures.
- Remove the original gauges and wiring from the existing bezel.
Panel Installation:
- Mount the Intellitronix LED Digital Gauge Panel circuit board into your original vehicle bezel. Ensure a secure fit.
- Attach the "smoked" plexiglass faceplate over the digital displays.
- Connect the provided wiring harness to the appropriate connections on the circuit board.
Sending Unit Installation:
- Speedometer: If your vehicle is not equipped with a functional electronic cruise control sender, install the Intellitronix S9013 universal speedometer sending unit. Connect it to the vehicle's transmission output or drive shaft as per the unit's instructions.
- Tembiricha yemvura: Replace the existing temperature sending unit with the provided S8023 unit. Ensure the correct bushing size (1/2 inch is standard, 3/8 inch available upon request) is used for a proper fit.
- Oiri Pressure: Install the provided oil pressure sending unit in place of the original unit.
- Fuel Level: The panel is designed to work with the existing Chrysler 73-10 ohms fuel level sending unit. No replacement is typically needed for this component.
- Voltmeter: No separate sending unit is required for the voltmeter as it reads directly from the vehicle's electrical system.
Wiring Connections:
Carefully connect the wiring harness from the gauge panel to the vehicle's electrical system. Ensure all connections are secure and properly insulated. Refer to the detailed wiring diagram included with your product for specific connections, including power, ground, illumination, turn signals, and high beam indicators.
- Connect the main power wire to a switched 12V source.
- Connect the ground wire to a reliable chassis ground point.
- Connect the illumination wire to the vehicle's dash light circuit for dimming functionality.
- Connect the turn signal and high beam indicator wires to their respective vehicle circuits.
Post-Instalation:
- Once all connections are made, carefully re-install the assembled gauge panel into the dashboard opening.
- Batanidzazve bhatiri remotokari.
- Test all functions of the gauge panel before fully securing the dashboard trim.
Operating Instruction
General Operation:
Upon vehicle ignition, the digital displays will illuminate, showing real-time data for each parameter. The brightness of the display can typically be adjusted via the vehicle's dimmer switch, if connected to the illumination circuit.
Speedometer Functions:
- Reads up to 255 MPH.
- Displays odometer and trip meter.
- One-button calibration: Allows for calibration regardless of tire size, gear ratio, or transmission.
- Performance metrics: Includes 0-60 time, 1/4 mile elapsed time, and high-speed recall, accessible with a push of a button.
Tachometer Functions:
- Displays 0-9999 RPM.
- Adjustable for 1, 2, 4, 6, 8, 10, or 12 cylinder engines.
- High RPM recall function.
Other Gauge Functions:
- Tembiricha yemvura: Displays 18-275°F range.
- Oiri Pressure: Reads 0-100 PSI range.
- Voltmeter: Displays 7.0 to 18.0 volt range.
- Fuel Level: Reads 0-99% range in 1% increments.
Maintenance
The Intellitronix LED Digital Gauge Panel is designed for long-term reliability with minimal maintenance. The primary maintenance involves keeping the plexiglass faceplate clean and ensuring all electrical connections remain secure.
- Kuchenesa: Use a soft, lint-free cloth and a mild, non-abrasive cleaner specifically designed for plastics or automotive interiors to clean the plexiglass faceplate. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive materials that could scratch the surface.
- Mabatirwo emagetsi: Periodically check all wiring connections to the gauge panel and sending units to ensure they are tight and free from corrosion. Loose connections can lead to inaccurate readings or intermittent operation.
- Sensor Integrity: While designed for durability, ensure that the temperature, oil pressure, and speedometer sending units are not physically damaged and their wiring is intact.
