4. Setup

4.1. Initial Activation & Pairing

  1. Ensure Bluetooth and Location Services are enabled on your iOS device.
  2. Open the native Apple Find My app.
  3. Navigate to the 'Items' tab and tap the '+' icon.
  4. Select 'Add Other Item'.
  5. Long press the button on your Air Tracker Tag for 3 seconds until you hear a tone.
  6. On your iOS device, tap 'Connect' when the tracker (BT001) appears.
  7. Follow the on-screen prompts to name your item and assign an emoji.

4.2. Attaching the Tracker

The Hendari Air Tracker Tag is designed to be versatile. Use the included key rings or silicone integrated ropes to attach it to various items:

5. Operating Instructions

5.1. Finding Nearby Items (Play Sound)

When your item is within Bluetooth range, you can use the Find My app to make the tracker emit a loud 100dB sound, helping you pinpoint its exact location.

  2. Select the desired Air Tracker Tag from your 'Items' list.
  3. Tap 'Play Sound'. The tracker will emit a loud beep.

5.2. Global Tracking (Out of Bluetooth Range)

If your item is out of Bluetooth range, the Apple Find My network leverages signals from millions of nearby Apple devices to securely update your item's location. You can view its last known location on a map within the Find My app.

5.3. Forget Prevention Alert

Enable 'Notify When Left Behind' in the Find My app to receive instant pop-up notifications if you leave an item behind. You can customize geofence radii (e.g., around home or work) to prevent false alerts.

5.4. Nzira Yakarasika

Activate Lost Mode in the Find My app to display your contact details (phone/email) to anyone who finds your item. When detected by a compatible Apple device, a 'Found This Item?' prompt will appear with your custom message.

5.5. Family & Team Sharing

Securely share your item's location with up to 5 trusted users in the Find My app. All participants will see real-time locations instantly. This feature requires iOS 17, iPadOS 17, macOS 14, or later.

  1. Locate the notched area on the side of the tracker.

7. Safety and Privacy

As an MFi-certified accessory, the Hendari Air Tracker Tag prioritizes your privacy and security:

  • End-to-End Encryption: All location data transmitted through the Find My network is encrypted, ensuring only you can view your item's location.
  • Anonymity: Cryptographic mechanisms isolate location data from user identity, meaning neither Apple nor Hendari can associate locations with individuals.
  • Anti-Tracking Alerts: Your iOS device will notify you if an unknown Air Tracker Tag is detected moving with you over time, helping to prevent unwanted tracking.
