4. Setup uye Kutanga Kushandisa

5. Operating Instructions

5.1. Cooking Eggs (Hard, Medium, Soft Boiled)

  1. Mazai ekubaya: Use the egg piercer located at the bottom of the measuring cup to gently pierce the large end of each egg. This prevents cracking during cooking.
  2. Wedzera Mvura: Fill the measuring cup with cold water according to your desired egg consistency:
    • Soft Boiled: Fill to the "Soft" line.
    • Medium Boiled: Fill to the "Medium" line.
    • Hard Boiled: Fill to the "Hard" line.
    Pour the measured water directly onto the heating plate of the egg cooker base.
  3. Isa Mazai: Place up to 6 pierced eggs into the egg tray.
  4. Kavha: Place the clear lid securely over the egg tray and base.
  5. Tanga Kubika: Plug the power cord into a standard electrical outlet. Press the power button (usually illuminated) to start the cooking cycle. The indicator light will turn on.
  6. Kudzima Otomatiki: The egg cooker will automatically shut off and a buzzer will sound when all the water has evaporated and the eggs are cooked. The indicator light will turn off.
  7. Sevedza: Carefully remove the lid (steam will be hot) and use the provided egg lifter clip or tongs to remove the eggs. Rinse eggs under cold water or place them in an ice bath to stop the cooking process and make them easier to peel.

5.2. Kubika Zvimwe Zvekudya

This appliance can also be used to steam other small food items. Ensure the food fits within the egg tray or a small heat-safe bowl placed on the tray.

  • Vegetables: Small vegetables like corn kernels, chopped carrots, or broccoli florets can be steamed. Place them in a small heat-safe bowl on the egg tray.
  • Dumplings/Buns: Small dumplings or buns can be steamed. Place them on the egg tray or in a small heat-safe bowl.
  • Sweet Potatoes/Potatoes: Small, diced pieces of sweet potatoes or potatoes can be steamed.

For steaming other foods, add an appropriate amount of water to the heating plate (typically to the "Hard" line or slightly more, depending on the food and desired tenderness). The cooker will shut off automatically when the water evaporates. Monitor the food's doneness as cooking times may vary.

6. Kuchengetedza uye Kuchenesa

Regular cleaning will ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your egg cooker.
