1. Nhanganyaya

The HLK-LD2410 is a high-sensitivity 24GHz human presence status sensing module developed by Hi-Link Electronics. It utilizes FMCW (Frequency-Modulated Continuous Wave) technology to detect human targets within a defined space. Combined with advanced radar signal processing and a precise human body induction algorithm, it achieves highly sensitive human presence detection, capable of identifying both moving and stationary human bodies. It can also provide auxiliary information such as the distance to the target.

This module is primarily designed for indoor applications to detect the presence of moving or micro-moving human bodies and output detection results in real-time. The farthest sensing distance is up to 6 meters, with a distance resolution of 0.75m. A visual configuration tool is provided to easily adjust sensing distance, sensitivity in different intervals, and unmanned delay time, adapting to various application needs.

The HLK-LD2410 supports GPIO and UART output, offering plug-and-play functionality for flexible integration into smart scenarios and terminal products.

The HLK-LD2420 is a high-performance 24 GHz radar module featuring one transmitter and one receiver antenna. Its human sensing algorithm leverages millimeter wave radar distance measurement technology and advanced proprietary signal processing from S3 series chips for accurate sensing of moving, micro-movement, and standing human bodies. It has a maximum sensing distance of 8 meters and can be configured for distance range, sensitivity, and refresh time in different zones. It supports GPIO and UART interfaces.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Visual Configuration Tool (PC)

A PC-based visual configuration tool is provided to facilitate quick and efficient testing and configuration of the module. This software allows users to connect to the module's serial port, read and configure parameters, receive detection results, and visualize data in real-time.

How to use the PC Host Computer Tool:

  1. Use a USB to serial port tool to correctly connect to the module's serial port.
  2. In the host computer tool, select the corresponding serial port number, set the baud rate to 256000, select 'Engineering Mode', and click 'Connect Device'.
  3. Once successfully connected, click the 'Start' button. The graphical interface on the right will display test results and data.
  4. If the 'Start' button is not clicked, or if 'Stop' is clicked after starting, mode parameter information can be read or set.

Note: Parameters cannot be read or configured while the tool is 'Start'ed. Configuration can only be performed after clicking 'Stop'.

5.2 Bluetooth Instructions (HLK-LD2410(BLE) / HLK-LD2410C)

5.2.1 Kuiswa kweSoftware

The companion APP supports both Android and iOS platforms. You can download it from the following link (for Android): https://www.pgyer.com/Lq8p. Alternatively, search for "HLKRadarTools" in major app stores to install it.

5.2.2 Mirayiridzo Yekushandisa

Open the APP. It will automatically search for nearby radar devices. The broadcast name of the device will be "HLK-LD2410B_xxxx" (where xxxx represents the last four digits of the MAC address). After successfully connecting to the module, you can view radar information, debug, and save parameters.

The effective operating distance for the APP should be within the Bluetooth signal range (typically within 4 meters).

6. Kuchengeta

  • Keep the module dry and clean. Avoid exposure to moisture or corrosive substances.
  • Operate within the specified ambient temperature range (-40 ~ 85℃) to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
  • Avoid physical impact or excessive force on the module.
  • Ensure proper ventilation if enclosed, especially in continuous operation, to prevent overheating.

7. Kugadzirisa matambudziko

7.1 Parameters Cannot Be Configured

If you are unable to read or set parameters using the PC Host Computer Tool or Bluetooth APP, ensure that the detection process is stopped. Parameters can only be configured when the module is not actively detecting (i.e., after clicking 'Stop' in the software).

7.2 Re-enabling Bluetooth (HLK-LD2410(BLE) / HLK-LD2410C)

The Bluetooth function is enabled by default. It can be turned off or on via the serial port protocol (refer to the HLK-LD2410(BLE) serial port communication protocol PDF for details). If Bluetooth has been turned off, or if the serial port is inaccessible, you can re-enable Bluetooth by powering off the module and then powering it on more than 5 times within a 2-3 second interval.

8. Mazano emushandisi

  • For initial setup and testing, using the recommended kit (module + test board + USB antenna) can simplify the process.
  • Always refer to the official datasheets and software documentation available on the Hi-Link websaiti (https://www.hlktech.net/index.php?id=download-center) for the most up-to-date information and detailed protocols.
