4. Setup

  1. Ensure the device is powered off before inserting the SIM card.
  2. Locate the SIM card slot on the side of the MV901 device.
  3. Insert a standard 2G GSM SIM card into the slot. Ensure the SIM card has sufficient balance and data plan for GPRS communication.
  4. Close the SIM card slot cover securely to maintain waterproof integrity.

4.2 Wiring Diagram

The MV901 requires a 9-95V DC power supply. Connect the wires as shown in the diagram below:

  • Red Wire (+): Connect to the positive terminal of the vehicle's battery.
  • Black Wire (-): Connect to the negative terminal (ground) of the vehicle's battery.
  • Orange Wire (ACC): Connect to the ACC (Accessory) wire of the vehicle, which provides power only when the ignition is on. This enables ACC engine detection.

4.3 Tracking Platform Setup

The MiCODUS MV901 utilizes the MiCODUS tracking platform, which is available as a mobile application (iOS and Android) and a web-based platform. This platform offers lifetime free usage.

  1. Download the MiCODUS app from the App Store (iOS) or Google Play Store (Android), or visit the official website pa www.micodus.net.

  4. Once added, you can configure settings, view real-time location, and access other features.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Real-time Tracking

The MV901 uses a combination of GPS, GLONASS, and BEIDOU (GNSS system) for precise real-time location tracking. You can view your vehicle's current location on Google Maps via the MiCODUS app or web platform chero nguva.

5.2 History Route Playback

The MiCODUS tracking platform records and stores historical route data for up to 180 days. This allows you to review past movements of your vehicle, including routes, speeds, and stops.

5.3 Alarm Mabasa

The MV901 offers multiple alarm features for enhanced security:

  • Geo-fence: Set up virtual boundaries on the map. You will receive an alert if the vehicle enters or exits the defined area.
  • ACC Engine Detection & Engine On/Off Alarm: When the device is armed, it detects engine start or flameout actions and immediately reports an alarm via SMS and call.
  • Overspeed Alarm: Preset a speed limit for your vehicle. If the vehicle exceeds this limit, the tracker will send an alarm message.
  • Alarm yeVibration: Triggers an alert if the device detects significant vibration, indicating potential tampering or impact.
  • Movement Alarm: Notifies you if the vehicle moves from its parked location without authorization.
  • Cut Line Alarm: An alarm is triggered if the power supply to the tracker is cut, indicating potential theft or tampering.

5.4 Advanced Tracking Features

  • GPS Data Compensation by Cornering: When the vehicle turns, the device uploads more frequent GPS data to accurately reflect the details of the turn, resulting in a denser and more accurate trajectory query.
  • GPS Data Supplementary of Network Blind Area: If the device loses network connection, GPS data will be saved by its built-in memory. Once the network signal is recovered, the saved data will be automatically uploaded to the tracking server, ensuring no data loss.

6.2 Backup Battery

The device includes a 180mAh backup battery. If the external power supply is disconnected, the backup battery can provide 2-4 hours of tracking. This ensures continuous tracking even if the vehicle's main power is cut. No user maintenance is required for the internal battery.
