5. Operating Instructions

Once the HLK-RM65 module is assembled and powered on, it functions as a routing module. The default OpenWrt firmware provides a web-based interface for configuration.

  1. Power On: Connect the power adapter. The module should power on, and indicator lights (if present on the development board) will illuminate.
  2. Network Connection: Connect a computer to one of the LAN ports on the development board using an Ethernet cable. Alternatively, search for the default Wi-Fi network broadcast by the module and connect to it.
  3. Access Web Interface: Vhura a web browser and navigate to the default IP address of the OpenWrt router (commonly 192.168.1.1). You may be prompted for a username and password (default credentials are often root with no password, or admin/admin).
  4. Configure WAN: Set up your internet connection under the Network > WAN section. Choose your WAN access mode (PPPoE, Dynamic IP, Static IP, or 3G/4G/5G if supported by your setup).
  5. Gadzirisa Wi-Fi: Navigate to Network > Wireless to configure your 2.4GHz and 5GHz Wi-Fi networks, including SSID, password, and security settings.
  6. Advanced Settings: Explore other sections for advanced configurations such as static address assignment, virtual server, port forwarding, DMZ host, and firewall rules.

6. Kuchengeta

To ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your HLK-RM65 module, follow these maintenance guidelines:

  • Environmental Conditions: Operate the module within the specified working temperature range of -20℃ to +80℃. Avoid exposure to extreme temperatures, high humidity, or direct sunlight.
  • Kuchenesa: Keep the module and development board clean and free from dust. Use a soft, dry cloth for cleaning. Do not use liquid cleaners or solvents.
  • Magetsi: Always use the recommended 3.3V power supply for the module and the 12V1A adapter for the development board. Using an incorrect power supply can damage the device.
  • Firmware Dzokorora: Regularly check for and apply official firmware updates for OpenWrt to benefit from security patches, bug fixes, and new features. Follow the instructions provided by the OpenWrt community or Hi-Link for safe updating procedures.
