2.3 GR01 Receiver

The GR01 receiver is a compact unit designed to pair with the G12 remote control for reliable signal reception on your UAV.

3. Setup

3.1 Kutanga Kuchaja

Before first use, ensure the G12 remote control is fully charged. Connect the provided Type-C charging cable to the remote control and a 5V/2A power adapter.

3.2 Kuiswa kweAntenna

Carefully screw the two antennas onto the designated ports on the top of the G12 remote control. Ensure they are securely fastened but do not overtighten.

3.3 Kubatidza/Kudzima

  • Kubatidza: Press and hold the power button (usually located centrally on the top panel) until the screen illuminates.
  • Kudzima: Press and hold the power button until a power-off prompt appears on the screen, then confirm.

3.4 Receiver Connection (GR01)

Connect the GR01 receiver to your drone's flight controller according to your drone's specific wiring diagram. Ensure proper power supply (5V-12V) to the receiver.

3.5 Binding the Remote Control and Receiver

Refer to your drone's flight controller manual for specific binding procedures. Generally, this involves putting both the remote control and receiver into binding mode. The G12 operates on 2.4GHz and 5.8GHz dual-frequency bands.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Android System Ground Station

The G12 runs on Android 10, providing a versatile ground station experience. You can install compatible drone control applications directly onto the device. Navigate the interface using the touchscreen and physical controls.

4.2 Image Transmission

The G12 supports 20KM wireless digital image transmission. Ensure your drone is equipped with a compatible video transmitter and camera system. The high-definition, high-brightness 7-inch IPS display (1920*1200 resolution, 1000nit brightness) provides clear real-time video feedback.

4.3 Kudzora Kwendege

Use the joysticks and programmable buttons (A, B, C, D) to control your UAV. Customize button functions within your drone's control application settings.

The G12 automatically selects or allows manual selection between 2.4GHz and 5.8GHz frequencies for optimal signal stability and range, depending on environmental conditions and local regulations.

  1. Download the latest upgrade package from the official SKYDROID website.
  2. Copy the downloaded upgrade package file to the root directory of a formatted SD card.
  3. Insert the SD card into the designated slot on the G12 remote control.
  4. Simba paremote control.
  5. Navigate to "Settings" -> "About device" -> "System update" -> "Local update" on the G12's Android interface.

  7. Wait for the upgrade to complete. The device will restart automatically once finished. Do not power off the device during the upgrade process.
