The M1000 speaker is designed for quick and easy installation in plenum spaces, utilizing its integrated EZ hang brackets.

Mounting

  1. Gadzirira Nzvimbo Yekukwirisa: Identify the desired location in the plenum space. The unit is suitable for use above suspended ceiling systems or in open ceiling spaces.
  2. Utilize EZ Hang Brackets: The factory-installed EZ hang brackets are collapsible and can be configured for upward, downward, or side-firing installation. Extend these brackets as needed.
  3. Chengetedza Unit: Use the snap hanger assembly to securely mount the speaker. An optional MCHAIN72 suspension chain system (sold separately) can also be used for quick mounting and height adjustment.

Wiring and Tap Selection

The M1000 features an innovative input panel for electrical connections.

  1. Access Input Panel: The input panel includes knockouts and a strain relief connector. Remove the plate to access wiring terminals.
  2. Batanidza Wiring: Connect the 70.7V audio signal wiring to the terminals. The system accommodates rigid or flexible conduit if required. An integral wire strain relief ensures secure cable termination.
  3. Select Power Tap: Use the external tap selector switch to choose the desired power setting (0.25W, 0.5W, 1.0W, 2.0W, 4.0W) for the 70.7V system. This allows for precise system tuning to achieve the required sound masking level. Ensure the "OFF" position is selected before making connections.

Operating Instruction

The Atlas Sound M1000 is a passive sound masking speaker. Once properly installed and connected to a 70.7V sound masking system, its operation is integrated with the overall system control. The primary operational adjustment is the power tap selection.

  • Power Tap Adjustment: The external tap selector switch allows you to set the speaker's output power (0.25W, 0.5W, 1.0W, 2.0W, 4.0W) for 70.7V systems. Adjust this setting to achieve the desired sound masking level in the coverage area.
  • Kubatanidza System: The speaker will reproduce the sound masking signal provided by the connected sound masking generator or amplifier. Refer to your sound masking system's manual for overall system operation.

Maintenance

The Atlas Sound M1000 speaker requires minimal maintenance.
