2. Setup
Before first use, rinse all removable parts with warm water and mild detergent. Ensure the brewer is placed on a flat, stable surface near a power outlet.
- Place the Thermal Carafe: Position the thermal carafe securely on the heating plate.
- Insert Brew Basket: Place the brew basket into its designated slot above the carafe.
- Wedzera Sefa: Insert a #4 cone-shaped paper filter (or reusable filter) into the brew basket.
- Wedzera Coffee Grounds: Measure your desired amount of coffee grounds into the filter. For optimal results, use approximately 2 tablespoons of coffee per 6 ounces of water.
- Zadza Mvura Reservoir: Open the water reservoir lid and fill the reservoir with fresh, cold water up to the desired measurement mark. The reservoir has markings for 2, 4, 6, 8, and 10 cups (40 oz).

3. Operating Instructions
Once set up, brewing coffee is a simple one-button operation.
- Adjust Drip-Stop: On the brew basket, adjust the drip-stop lever to your desired setting:
- Full Open (circle icon): For a standard brew, allowing full flow.
- Half Drip (half-filled circle icon): Slows down the flow for increased saturation, ideal for smaller batches or stronger coffee.
- Closed (X icon): Stops the flow completely, useful for pre-infusion or when removing the carafe mid-brew.
- Power On: Press the power switch located on the base of the brewer. The indicator light will illuminate.
- Brewing Process: The brewer will rapidly heat the water and begin dispensing it over the coffee grounds. The brewing process typically takes 4-6 minutes.
- Coffee Ready: Once all the water has passed through, the brewing process is complete. The thermal carafe will keep your coffee hot.

- Disassemble all removable parts: water reservoir lid, brew basket, brew basket lid, 9-hole outlet arm, and thermal carafe.
- Wash these parts with warm, soapy water. Avoid abrasive cleaners.
- For the thermal carafe, use a bottle brush to clean the interior thoroughly.
- Rinse all parts thoroughly and allow them to air dry completely before reassembling.
- Descaling (Every 3-6 Months): To prevent mineral buildup, descale your brewer regularly using a descaling solution specifically designed for coffee makers. Follow the descaling product's instructions.
