2. Setup

2.4 Kuiswa kweSoftware
The StudioLive 24.4.2 includes Studio One Artist DAW software and Capture recording software for Mac and PC. Install these programs on your computer to utilize the mixer's recording capabilities. Ensure your computer meets the minimum system requirements for the software.
3. Operating Instructions
3.1 Front Panel Pamusoroview
The left side of the front panel is dedicated to input channels. Each channel features controls for gain, EQ, compression, and gating. The "Fat Channel" is a central control section that allows you to adjust parameters for the currently selected channel, eliminating the need for redundant knobs on every channel strip.

3.2 Using the Fat Channel
To adjust settings for a specific channel, simply select the desired channel using its dedicated button. The Fat Channel controls will then become active for that channel, allowing you to modify its compressor, limiter, gate/expander, 4-band semi-parametric EQ, and high-pass filter. This streamlined workflow allows for quick and efficient adjustments.
3.3 Aux Buses and Subgroups
The mixer includes 10 aux buses and 4 subgroups, providing flexible routing options for monitor mixes, effects sends, and grouping channels.
3.4 Digital Migumisiro
Two programmable 32-bit floating-point, stereo DSP effects engines are built-in, offering 50 reverb, delay, and time-based effects presets. These can be assigned to channels via the aux sends.
3.5 Saving and Recalling Settings
The StudioLive 24.4.2 allows you to save and recall channel strip settings and complete scenes. This feature is useful for quickly switching between different setups for various songs or performers. The AutoStore feature automatically saves current settings to prevent data loss in case of power failure.
3.6 Remote Control (iPad)
The mixer can be controlled remotely using an iPad with the appropriate VSL software. This requires connecting a Wi-Fi enabled computer to the mixer, which then communicates with the iPad.
