Carefully remove all packaging materials. Clean the water tank, portafilter, and milk carafe with warm water and mild detergent. Rinse thoroughly.

Remove the water tank from the back of the machine. Fill it with fresh, cold water up to the MAX level indicator. Reinsert the tank securely.

3. Installing the Water Filter

If your model includes a water filter, follow the instructions provided with the filter for installation into the water tank. This helps reduce limescale buildup.

4. Priming the Machine

Before first use, or if the machine has not been used for a long time, it needs to be primed. Fill the water tank, place a container under the hot water spout, and press the hot water button until water flows continuously. This removes air from the circuit.

Operating Instruction

1. Powering On / Off

Plug the machine into a suitable power outlet. Press the Simba bhatani (Simba bhatani icon) to turn the machine on. The indicator lights will flash during heating and become steady when ready for use. Press the Power button again to turn off.

2. Kuita Espresso

  1. Insert the desired filter (single or double shot) into the portafilter.
  2. Add ground coffee to the filter. For best results, use freshly ground espresso coffee.

  4. Attach the portafilter to the brewing head, ensuring it is locked securely.
  5. Place one or two cups on the drip tray under the spouts.

The machine will indicate when descaling is required (e.g., a flashing calcium light indicator). Follow the descaling instructions provided with your De'Longhi descaler solution. Regular descaling is crucial for machine longevity and optimal performance, especially in areas with hard water.

Cherechedza: If the calcium light indicator flashes even after setting, ensure the descaling cycle is completed fully according to the instructions. Incomplete cycles can cause the indicator to persist.
