1. Setup

1.2 Kuisa Mabhatiri

The Nikon COOLPIX L610 operates on two AA-size batteries. Open the battery compartment cover, typically located on the bottom of the camera. Insert the batteries according to the polarity indicators (+/-) inside the compartment. Close the cover securely.

1.3 Kuisa Memory Card

The camera supports SD, SDHC, and SDXC memory cards. Locate the memory card slot, usually adjacent to the battery compartment. Insert the memory card with the label facing the correct direction until it clicks into place. Do not force the card.

1.4 Attaching the Strap

Thread the AN-CP19 strap through the strap eyelet on the camera body. Secure the strap firmly to prevent accidental drops.

2. Kushandisa Kamera

2.1 Kubatidza/Kudzima

To power on the camera, press the ON/OFF button located on the top panel. Press it again to power off the camera.

2.2 Basic Photography Mode

The camera typically starts in an automatic shooting mode. Frame your subject using the LCD monitor. Press the shutter button halfway down to activate autofocus and exposure. Once focus is achieved, press the shutter button fully to capture the image.

2.3 Zoom Basa

Use the zoom control lever, located around the shutter button, to adjust the focal length. Push the lever towards 'T' (Telephoto) to zoom in (up to 14x optical zoom), and towards 'W' (Wide-angle) to zoom out. The camera also features a 2x digital zoom.

2.4 Flash Modes

The COOLPIX L610 has an integrated flash. The flash unit will automatically pop up when needed in Auto mode. You can manually select various flash modes such as Auto, Fill-flash, Slow sync, Red-eye reduction, and Flash Off through the camera's menu or a dedicated flash button.

2.5 Kurekodha Vhidhiyo

To record a video, press the dedicated movie record button, usually marked with a red dot, on the rear of the camera. Press it again to stop recording. The camera supports Full HD (1920x1080) video recording in H.264, MOV, and MPEG4 formats.

2.6 Scene Modes

The camera offers various scene modes to optimize settings for different shooting conditions. Access these modes via the 'SCENE' button or menu. Available modes include Beach, Macro, Sunset, Night Portrait, Panorama, Sports, and more.

2.7 Playback Modhi

Kuti review your captured photos and videos, press the playback button (often indicated by a play icon) on the rear of the camera. Use the multi-selector to navigate through your images and videos.

  • Frequent use of the flash, extensive image review, or prolonged video recording can increase battery consumption.
  • Ensure you are using high-quality alkaline batteries or fully charged Ni-MH rechargeable batteries.
