Setup Instructions

Operating Instruction

1. Prepare the Carbonating Bottle:
   • Fill the SodaStream carbonating bottle with cold tap water up to the fill line. Do not overfill.
   • Ensure the water is cold, as colder water carbonates more effectively.
2. Attach the Bottle:
   • Twist the carbonating bottle into the soda maker's bottle rest until it is securely locked in place.
   • The bottle should be upright and centered.
3. Carbonate the Water:
   • Press the carbonating button located on the top of the machine firmly for 1-2 seconds, then release.
   • Repeat this process 3-5 times for standard carbonation, or more for a stronger fizz. You will hear a buzzing sound as the CO2 is released into the water.

4. Remove the Bottle:

Maintenance

• CO2 Cylinder Replacement: When the CO2 cylinder is empty (you will notice a decrease in fizz or no carbonation), replace it with a new SodaStream CO2 cylinder. Empty cylinders can often be exchanged for full ones at participating retailers.

Water Leaking During Carbonation:

• Check that the carbonating bottle is filled only to the fill line and not overfilled.

• Do not carbonate anything other than plain water.

• Since the Genesis model does not require electricity or batteries, ensure the CO2 cylinder is correctly installed and has gas.
