4. Setup

4.1 Kuiswa kwebhatiri

The Fluke 362 is battery-powered. Although batteries are not included with all packages, they are required for operation. To install or replace batteries:

  1. Ensure the meter is turned OFF and no test leads are connected.
  2. Tsvaga chivharo chebhatiri kuseri kwemamita.
  3. Shandisa sikurudhiraivha kusunungura sikurudhi inosunga chifukidziro.
  4. Remove the cover and insert the required batteries, observing correct polarity (+/-).
  5. Replace the battery cover and tighten the screw(s).

4.2 Test Lead Connection

Zve voltage, resistance, and continuity measurements, connect the test leads to the input terminals:

  • Insert the black test lead into the “COM” (common) terminal.
  • Insert the red test lead into the “VΩ” (voltage/resistance) terminal.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Kubatidza/Kudzima

Rotate the function dial from the “OFF” position to any desired measurement function to power on the meter. To power off, rotate the dial back to the “OFF” position.

5.2 Basa Sarudzo

Use the rotary function dial to select the desired measurement mode (e.g., A∼ for AC current, A— for DC current, V∼ for AC voltage, V— for DC voltage, Ω for resistance, or continuity).

5.3 AC/DC Chiyero Chazvino (Clamp)

To measure current using the clamp shaya:

  1. Rotate the function dial to A∼ (AC current) or A— (DC current).
  2. For DC current measurements, press the “ZERO” button to clear any offset before clamping.
  3. Vhura clamp shaya nekudzvanya chitokisi.
  4. Enclose only one conductor within the jaw. Ensure the jaw is fully closed.
  5. Verenga kukosha kwazvino kuri pachiratidziro.
