1. Simba Connection
Connect the supplied AC power cord to the AC IN jack on the unit and then to a wall outlet. Alternatively, for portable use, insert 6 R14 (size C) batteries (not supplied) into the battery compartment on the bottom of the unit, ensuring correct polarity.
2. Antenna Setup
For FM reception, extend the telescopic antenna fully and adjust its direction for optimal signal. For AM reception, the unit has a built-in ferrite bar antenna. Rotate the unit itself for best AM reception.
Operating Instruction
1. Basic Operation
- Press the SIMBA bhatani rekubatidza unit.
- Press the BASA button repeatedly to select the desired source (CD, FM, AM, AUX).

2. CD Playback
- Open the CD compartment lid and place a CD with the label side up. Close the lid securely.

- Press the BASA button to select "FM" or "AM".

- To automatically scan for the next available station, press and hold the KUITA +/- buttons until the frequency starts changing.
- Presetting Favorite Stations:

- Start playback on your connected external device. The audio will be output through the ZS-S40 speakers.
- Adjust the volume using the unit's VOLUME +/- buttons and/or the volume control on your external device.
5. Kurara Nguva
- Chigadzirwa chacho chichiri kushanda, tinya bhatani rekuti RARA button repeatedly to cycle through the available sleep timer settings: 90 min → 60 min → 30 min → 15 min → OFF.
- The unit will automatically turn off after the selected time has elapsed.
Maintenance
- Kuchenesa Chikamu: Wipe the exterior with a soft, dry cloth. For stubborn stains, use a cloth lightly dampened with a mild detergent solution, then wipe dry. Do not use abrasive pads, scouring powder, or solvents such as alcohol or benzene.
- Kuchenesa CD Lens: Use a commercially available CD lens cleaner.
- Kutsiva Bhatiri: If using batteries, replace all batteries with new ones when the power indicator dims or the unit stops functioning correctly. Do not mix old and new batteries, or different types of batteries.
