3. Kutanga Setup

Before initial use, install the FNB-83 Ni-MH battery pack into the designated compartment on the back of the transceiver. Connect the PA-48B charger to the SBH-13 charging stand and place the FT-60R in the stand. Ensure the radio is fully charged before operation. A full charge typically takes several hours.

3.2 Antenna Attachment

Carefully screw the supplied antenna onto the antenna connector located on the top of the transceiver. Turn clockwise until finger-tight. Do not overtighten to avoid damaging the connector.

4. Operating the FT-60R

To clean the exterior of the radio, wipe it with a soft, slightly damp cloth. Do not use harsh chemicals, abrasive cleaners, or solvents, as these can damage the casing and display. Ensure the radio is completely dry before use.
