It is a black, rack-mountable unit with a front panel featuring a green LCD display, control buttons (SET, ACT, MODE, UP, DOWN), and a power knob. Two detachable antennas are visible on the rear of the unit (shown here extending upwards).

Figure 2.3: MIPRO ACT-32T Bodypack Transmitter. This image shows the ACT-32T Bodypack Transmitter. It is a compact, black plastic unit with a green LCD display showing group and channel information. It features an ON/OFF button, MODE button, SET button, a flexible antenna, and a mini XLR input connector at the top.
3. Setup Instructions
3.1. ACT 311B Receiver Setup
- Power Connection: Connect the provided external power supply to the DC input on the rear panel of the ACT 311B receiver. Plug the power supply into an appropriate AC outlet.
- Kuiswa kweAntenna: Attach the two antennas to the ANTENNA connectors on the rear of the receiver. Ensure they are securely fastened and positioned for optimal signal reception.
- Kubatanidza Kubuda Kwekunzwa: Connect the receiver's audio output to your mixer, audio interface, or PA system using either the symmetrical XLR output or the unbalanced 6.3mm jack output.
- Power On: Turn the POWER knob clockwise to power on the receiver. The LCD display will illuminate.
3.2. ACT-32T Bodypack Transmitter Setup
- Kuisa Battery: Open the battery compartment on the ACT-32T transmitter. Insert two AA batteries, observing the correct polarity (+/-). Close the compartment securely.
- Microphone/Instrument Connection: Connect your microphone or instrument cable (with a mini XLR connector) to the input jack on the top of the transmitter.
- Power On: Press and hold the ON/OFF button to power on the transmitter. The LCD display will show channel, gain, and battery status.
4. Operating Instructions
4.1. Automatic Channel Targeting (ACT) Synchronization
The ACT function allows for quick and precise frequency synchronization between the receiver and transmitter.
- Receiver Channel Selection: On the ACT 311B receiver, use the UP/DOWN buttons to select the desired group (GRP) and channel (CH).
- Activate ACT: Press the ACT button on the receiver. The display will show "ACT" and an infrared signal will be emitted.
- Align Transmitter: Position the ACT-32T transmitter's infrared sensor (usually located near the display) in front of the receiver's ACT window (infrared port).
- Synchronization: The transmitter will automatically synchronize with the receiver's frequency. The transmitter's display will update to show the new group and channel.
4.2. Adjusting Transmitter Settings (ACT-32T)
The ACT-32T allows adjustment of input sensitivity and RF output power.
- Input Sensitivity: Press the MODE button to cycle through settings. When "GAIN" or "INPUT SENS" is displayed, use the SET button to adjust the input sensitivity for your microphone or instrument. This optimizes the audio level and prevents distortion.
- RF Output Power: Similarly, navigate to the "RF POWER" setting. Use the SET button to select between 10mW and 50mW output power. Higher power (50mW) provides greater range but consumes more battery.
- Mute Basa: The ACT-32T features a mute switch. Toggle this switch to temporarily silence the audio transmission without powering off the unit. The LCD will indicate the mute status.
5. Kuchengeta
- Kuchenesa: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the surfaces of the receiver and transmitter. Avoid using liquid cleaners or solvents.
- Kutsiva Bhatiri: Replace the AA batteries in the ACT-32T transmitter when the low battery indicator appears on the LCD. Always use fresh, high-quality batteries.
- Kuchengeta: When not in use for extended periods, remove batteries from the transmitter and store the system in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
- Antenna Care: Handle antennas carefully. Ensure they are not bent or damaged, as this can affect signal quality.
