4. Setup uye Gungano
Follow these steps to prepare your mixer for operation.

- Attaching the Mixing Paddle:
- Ensure the mixer is unplugged from the power supply.
- Align the M14 thread of the mixing paddle with the M14 tool holder on the mixer.
- Screw the paddle clockwise onto the tool holder until it is hand-tight. Use a suitable wrench if necessary to secure it firmly, but do not overtighten.
- Power Connection: Connect the mixer's power cable to a suitable grounded power outlet (230 Volts).
5. Operating Instructions
This section details how to effectively use your paint and mortar mixer.
5.1 Speed Sarudzo
The TE-MX 1600-2 CE features a 2-speed gearbox and electronic speed control for optimal mixing.
- Giya 1 (Kumhanya Kwakaderera): Ideal for heavy, viscous materials like mortar, concrete, or plaster. Provides high torque for thorough mixing. (180 - 480 rpm)
- Giya 2 (Kumhanya Kwakanyanya): Suitable for lighter, more liquid materials such as paints, varnishes, or adhesives. Offers higher speed for quick and smooth blending. (300 - 750 rpm)
Use the gear selector switch to choose the appropriate speed range before starting the mixer. The electronic speed control dial (Figure 3) allows for fine-tuning the speed within the selected gear.
5.2 Soft Start Function
The mixer is equipped with a soft start function to prevent splashing and ensure a smooth start-up. When you press the trigger, the paddle will gradually increase speed until it reaches the set level.
5.3 Mixing Procedure
- Gadzirira Material: Place the material to be mixed into a sturdy mixing tub or bucket. Ensure the container is large enough to prevent overflow during mixing.
- Immerse Paddle: Lower the mixing paddle into the material until it is fully submerged.
- Tanga Kusanganiswa: Press the trigger switch to start the mixer. Hold the mixer firmly with both hands.
- Gadzirisa Kumhanya Use the electronic speed control dial to adjust the mixing speed as needed for the material's consistency.
- Mixing Technique: Move the mixer slowly through the material, ensuring all parts are thoroughly blended. Avoid lifting the paddle out of the material while it is rotating to prevent splashing.
- Kuenderera Kushanda: For extended mixing tasks, you can engage the lock-on button on the trigger switch to maintain continuous operation without holding the trigger. Press the trigger again to release the lock.
- Pedzisa Kusanganisa: Once the material is uniformly mixed, release the trigger or the lock-on button. Lift the mixer out of the material only after the paddle has stopped rotating.

Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your mixer.
