  2. Probe Connection: Insert the stainless steel probe's plug into the jack on the side of the main unit.

    • Magnetic Back: Attach the unit to any metal surface, such as a refrigerator or oven door.
    • Chigadziko Chinopetwa: Use the integrated stand on the back to place the unit on a countertop.

    The thermometer offers multiple mounting options, including a magnetic back for attaching to metal surfaces, a fold-out stand for tabletop use, and a hanging hole for hooks.

Operating Instruction

  1. Batidza/Kudzima: Slide the switch on the back of the unit to the 'ON' position to power on. Slide to 'OFF' to power off.
  2. Tembiricha Yekusarudza: On the back of the unit, slide the °C/°F switch to select your desired temperature unit (Celsius or Fahrenheit).
  3. Meat Type Selection (Cook Mode):
    • Slide the switch on the back to 'TEMP'.
    • Press the 'MEAT/ST/SP' button repeatedly to cycle through USDA preset meat types (e.g., Poultry, Beef, Ham, Pork).
    • The display will show the selected meat type and its recommended internal temperature.

    The device comes pre-programmed with USDA-recommended temperatures for different types of meat, including poultry, beef, ham, and pork, which can be adjusted to personal preference.

  4. Custom Temperature Setting:
    • While in 'TEMP' mode, press the '▲ HR' or '▼ MIN' buttons to manually adjust the target temperature.
    • The set temperature will flash, indicating it is being adjusted. Press 'MEAT/ST/SP' to confirm or wait for it to stop flashing.

    Users can easily set custom target temperatures for their desired doneness, with an audible alert when the temperature is achieved.

  5. Timer Mode:
    • Slide the switch on the back to 'TIMER'.
    • Press '▲ HR' and '▼ MIN' to set the desired countdown time (up to 99 hours, 59 minutes).
    • Press 'MEM/S/S' to start or pause the timer.
    • To reset the timer, press and hold '▲ HR' and '▼ MIN' simultaneously.
    • The timer can also function as a count-up timer by pressing 'MEM/S/S' without setting a time.

    The thermometer includes both countdown and count-up timer modes, allowing for precise cooking times up to 99 hours and 59 minutes. An alarm sounds when the set temperature or time is reached.

  6. Basa reAlarm: When the target temperature is reached in 'TEMP' mode, or the timer counts down to zero in 'TIMER' mode, the unit will beep and flash. Press any button to stop the alarm.
