Setup uye Installation
- Batanidza neRadio: Locate the accessory port on your compatible Motorola two-way radio. Align the connector of the Hawk EP1334 microphone with the radio's port and gently push until it clicks into place. Ensure a secure connection to prevent audio interruptions.
- Earmold Selection and Placement: Choose the appropriate earmold (left or right) for your ear. The microphone includes two semi-custom open ear inserts and one Torpedo Eartip. Insert the acoustic tube into the selected earmold. Gently place the earmold into your ear, ensuring a comfortable and secure fit. The acoustic tube should run discreetly behind your ear.
- Lapel Microphone and PTT Placement: Clip the lapel microphone unit to your clothing, typically near your collar or lapel, ensuring it is positioned to pick up your voice clearly. Position the PTT (Push-To-Talk) button in an easily accessible location, such as on your sleeve or lapel, for quick and convenient activation.

Operating Instruction
- Kugamuchira Audio: Once connected, audio from your radio will be transmitted through the acoustic tube to the earmold. Adjust your radio's volume for comfortable listening.
- Transmitting Audio (Push-To-Talk): To speak, press and hold the PTT button. Speak clearly into the lapel microphone. Release the PTT button when you have finished speaking to return to receive mode.
- Whisper Sensitivity: The microphone is designed to be sensitive to whispers, allowing for discreet communication in sensitive environments. Ensure the microphone is positioned correctly for optimal performance.
Maintenance
- Kuchenesa: Regularly clean the earmolds and acoustic tube with a mild soap and water solution. Ensure they are completely dry before reassembly. Wipe the microphone unit and PTT button with a soft, damp cloth. Do not immerse the microphone unit or PTT button in water.
- Cable Care: The cable is polyurethane-jacketed and Kevlar-lined for durability. Avoid sharp bends, kinks, or excessive pulling on the cable to prevent damage.
