This manual provides detailed instructions for the setup, operation, and maintenance of your Broadlink RM Mini3 Universal Remote Control Hub. The RM Mini3 is designed to integrate and control various infrared (IR) appliances in your home, transforming them into smart devices accessible via your smartphone or voice assistants.

2. Safety Information

• Ensure the device is powered by a stable 5V power source.

The Broadlink RM Mini3 is a compact, cylindrical device designed to blend seamlessly into your home environment. It features a single LED indicator and a reset button.

5. Setup Instructions

1. Power On: Connect the RM Mini3 to a 5V USB power source using the provided cable. The LED indicator will light up.
2. Dhaunirodha App: Download and install the free BroadLink IHC App from the App Store (iOS) or Google Play Store (Android).
3. Reset Device (if needed): If the LED is not flashing quickly (Smart Setup mode), press and hold the tiny pin-hole reset button with a slim needle for at least 6 seconds until the blue Wi-Fi LED flashes quickly.

   • Open the IHC App.
   • Tap "+" (Add device) on the top right corner.
   • Tap "Allow Only While In Use" to grant location permission.
   • Select "Add a New Device".
   • Choose "Universal Remote" from the device list.
   • Select "RM mini 3".
   • Tap "Next" and confirm your phone is connected to a 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network.
   • Tap "Done".
   • Choose your home 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network and input your password.
   • Wait for the device to connect (up to 60 seconds). The LED will flash slowly, then turn off upon successful setup.
   • Select the newly added device and choose a room for it, then name the device to complete the setup.

6. Operating Instructions

6.1 Adding IR Appliances (TV, AC, etc.)

The RM Mini3 supports over 80,000 IR-controlled devices. Only IR (38KHz) remotes are supported; Bluetooth remotes are not compatible.

1. Enter Device Page: From the app's home screen, tap on your "Universal Remote" device.
2. Add Appliance: Tap "Add appliances" at the bottom.
3. Choose Category: Select the category of your appliance (e.g., TV, AC Remote Full Display).
4. Pair IR Device:
   • Choose the brand of your target device from the list (e.g., Sony TV, Gree Air Conditioner). If your brand is not listed, you can tap "Can't find my brand" and enter the model number.
   • The app will present multiple IR options. Test each option by pressing buttons on the virtual remote and observing if your appliance responds correctly.
   • If an option works, confirm all buttons function as expected.
