Operating Instruction

1. Preparing a Specimen Slide

  • For Akagadzirirwa Masiraidhi: Simply place a prepared slide onto the stage.
  • For Masiraidhi Asina chinhu: Use the provided tools (pipette, tweezers, scalpel) to place a small, thin specimen onto a blank slide. Add a drop of water if necessary, and cover with a coverslip.

2. Placing the Slide

Place the prepared slide onto the microscope stage. Shandisa stage clips to secure the slide in place.

3. Adjusting Illumination

Ensure adequate lighting for your specimen. Use the built-in LED light for direct illumination or adjust the reflecting mirror to capture ambient light.

4. Selecting Magnification

Rotate the revolving nosepiece to select an objective lens. Start with the lowest magnification (e.g., 120X) to locate your specimen, then switch to higher magnifications as needed. The total magnification is the eyepiece magnification multiplied by the objective lens magnification.

  • Available Magnifications: 120X, 240X, 300X, 480X, 600X, 1200X.
