4. Setup Guide

Follow these steps to set up your Oculus Go headset for the first time:

  2. Install Batteries in Controller: Open the battery compartment on the Oculus Go controller and insert the two AA batteries provided.

  4. Pair Headset with App:
    • Open the Oculus app on your smartphone and log in with your Facebook account.

5. Operating Instructions

Once set up, operating your Oculus Go is straightforward:

5.1 Kubatidza/Kudzima

  • Kubatidza: Press and hold the power button located on the top of the headset until the Oculus logo appears.
  • Kudzima: Press and hold the power button until a power-off prompt appears in VR, then select "Power Off". Alternatively, you can press and hold the power button for about 10 seconds to force a shutdown.

5.2 Kushandisa Controller

The Oculus Go controller is your primary input device:

  • Navigation Use the touchpad on the top surface of the controller to navigate menus and select items. Swipe to move, tap to select.
  • Trigger Bhatani: The trigger button on the underside of the controller is used for primary actions, such as firing in games or confirming selections.
  • Back Button: Located below the touchpad, this button is used to go back in menus or exit applications.
  • Oculus Button: Press and hold the Oculus button to re-center your view. A quick press will bring up the universal menu.
  • Wristlet: Always use the included wristlet to prevent accidental drops of the controller during use.

5.3 Navigating the VR Environment

  • Lens Care:
    • Only use the provided microfiber cleaning cloth to clean the lenses.
