3.1 Nursery Unit

The Nursery Unit receives signals from the Sensor Pad and alerts you to movement detection. It features an indicator light and a power button.

3.2 Wireless Movement Sensor Pad

The Wireless Movement Sensor Pad is placed under the crib mattress to detect subtle movements. It operates on batteries and communicates wirelessly with the Nursery Unit.

4. Setup Guide

Follow these steps to set up your Angelcare AC017 monitor:

4.1 Install Batteries in Sensor Pad

  1. Locate the battery compartment on the back of the Wireless Movement Sensor Pad.

4.2 Place Sensor Pad

  1. Place the Wireless Movement Sensor Pad directly on a firm, flat surface under the crib mattress.
  2. Ensure the Sensor Pad is centered under where the baby will sleep.
  3. For cribs with spring bases or slatted bases, a hardboard or plywood sheet (at least 1/4 inch thick) must be placed between the crib base and the Sensor Pad to ensure proper operation and prevent false alarms.
  4. Place the crib mattress on top of the Sensor Pad.

4.3 Position Nursery Unit

  1. Place the Nursery Unit on a flat surface near the crib, but out of the baby's reach.
  2. Connect the power adapter to the Nursery Unit and plug it into a wall outlet.
  3. Ensure the power cord is securely fastened and not accessible to the baby.

The Sensor Pad has adjustable sensitivity levels. Refer to the Nursery Unit's controls to adjust the sensitivity. It is recommended to test the sensitivity after any adjustment to ensure it detects your baby's movements accurately without triggering false alarms from external vibrations.

When you remove your baby from the crib, remember to turn off or temporarily pause the monitor to prevent the alarm from sounding. Some models may have a pause feature; otherwise, power off the Nursery Unit.
