Kuisa Scope
The Monstrum G2 6-24x50 FFP Rifle Scope is designed for use with Picatinny mounts. Ensure the mounts are securely attached to your rifle's rail and the scope is properly seated within the rings. Tighten all screws according to the torque specifications provided with your mounting hardware to prevent movement during use.

Fast Focus Eyepiece Adjustment
Before making any other adjustments, set the fast focus eyepiece. Look through the scope at a plain, bright background (like the sky or a blank wall). Adjust the eyepiece until the reticle appears sharp and clear. This adjustment compensates for individual eyesight differences and ensures the reticle is in sharp focus for your eye.
Operating Instruction
Magnification Adjustment
The scope features a 6-24x magnification range. Rotate the magnification ring located near the eyepiece to increase or decrease the magnification. The first focal plane (FFP) reticle ensures that the reticle size scales proportionally with the target image, maintaining accurate subtensions at all magnification levels.

Figure 2: Comparison of field of view at minimum (6x) and maximum (24x) magnification. Note how the target appears larger at higher magnification.
First Focal Plane (FFP) Reticle
The Monstrum G2 features a First Focal Plane (FFP) reticle. This means the reticle is positioned in front of the magnification lens system. As you adjust the magnification, the reticle will appear to grow or shrink in size relative to the target image. This design ensures that the subtensions (the measured distances between reticle marks) remain constant and accurate at all magnification settings, which is crucial for precise range estimation and holdover corrections.

Parallax Adjustment (Adjustable Objective - AO)
Parallax is the apparent shift in the reticle's position relative to the target when the shooter's eye moves. The adjustable objective (AO) on this scope allows you to eliminate parallax and achieve a sharper target image. To adjust parallax:
- Aim the scope at a target at a known distance.
- While looking through the scope, slowly rotate the adjustable objective dial until the target image is sharp and clear, and there is no apparent movement between the reticle and the target when you slightly move your head.
- The numbers on the dial indicate the distance at which the scope is parallax-free.

Figure 4: Illustration of parallax effect and how the adjustable objective (AO) dial is used to sharpen focus and eliminate parallax at various distances.
Reticle Illumination
The reticle features adjustable illumination in both red and green. The illumination control dial is located on the side of the scope. Rotate the dial to select between red or green illumination and to adjust the brightness intensity. This feature is useful in low-light conditions or against dark backgrounds to improve reticle visibility.

Windage uye Elevation Adjustments
The scope is equipped with open tactical turrets for windage and elevation adjustments. Each click adjusts the point of impact by 1/4 MOA (Minute of Angle). To adjust:
- Rotate the elevation turret (top) to adjust vertical point of impact.
- Rotate the windage turret (side) to adjust horizontal point of impact.
- After zeroing, you can reset the turrets to zero by loosening the set screws, rotating the turret cap to "0", and then re-tightening the set screws.
Maintenance
Kuchenesa maLens
Use a soft, clean lens cloth (microfiber is recommended) to gently wipe away dust and loose debris from the lenses. For stubborn smudges or fingerprints, use a lens cleaning solution specifically designed for optics. Apply the solution to the cloth, not directly to the lens, and wipe gently in a circular motion. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive materials that could damage the lens coatings.
General Care uye Kuchengeta
Store the scope in a dry, cool place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. Always use the provided lens covers when the scope is not in use to protect the lenses from dust, scratches, and moisture. Regularly inspect all mounting screws and adjustments to ensure they remain secure.
Kugadzirisa matambudziko
- Blurred Image: Adjust the fast focus eyepiece and the parallax (AO) dial until both the reticle and target image are sharp.
- Reticle Isina Kuvhenekera: Check the CR2032 battery in the illumination control dial. Replace if necessary. Ensure the dial is set to an active brightness level.
- Kuchinja Kwesimba: Verify that the scope mounts are securely tightened to the rifle and the scope rings. Ensure turrets are not accidentally bumped or rotated.
