Kuchengetedzwa Kwemagetsi
- Ita shuwa kuti magetsi emagetsi awandatage matches the specifications on the pump's rating label (220-240V, 50Hz).
- Use a properly grounded outlet. Do not modify the plug.
- Do not expose the pump or electrical connections to rain or wet conditions.
- Avoid using extension cords unless absolutely necessary. If an extension cord is used, ensure it is rated for outdoor use and has the correct gauge for the pump's power requirements.
- Never carry the pump by its power cord.
- Regularly inspect the power cord for damage. If damaged, have it replaced by a qualified electrician.

5. Setup uye Kuiswa
5.1 Kuiswa
- Position the pump on a firm, level, and dry surface.
- Ensure adequate ventilation around the pump to prevent overheating.
- Protect the pump from direct exposure to weather elements (rain, direct sunlight, frost).
- Keep the pump as close as possible to the water source to minimize suction lift and maximize efficiency.
5.2 Mapombi ekubatanidza
The pump is equipped with standard inch fittings for both suction and discharge pipes.
- Kubvisa Pipe: Connect a rigid, airtight suction pipe (1 inch diameter) to the pump's inlet. Ensure all connections are sealed to prevent air leaks, which can affect priming and pump performance. A foot valve with a strainer should be installed at the end of the suction pipe submerged in the water source to prevent debris from entering the pump and to maintain prime.
- Dicharge Pipe: Connect a discharge pipe (1 inch diameter) to the pump's outlet. Use the provided three-way brass fitting, pressure switch, and pressure gauge as part of your water supply system. Ensure all connections are secure.
5.3 Kugadzira Pombi
This is a self-priming pump, but initial priming is crucial for proper operation. Before first use or after the pump has run dry:
- Ensure the suction pipe is fully submerged in the water source.
- Locate the priming plug on the top of the pump casing.
- Unscrew the priming plug and slowly fill the pump casing with clean water until it overflows.
- Replace and securely tighten the priming plug.
- Open any valves on the discharge side to allow air to escape during startup.
5.4 Electrical Connection
- Connect the pump's power cord to a grounded electrical outlet (220-240V, 50Hz).
- Ensure the electrical circuit is protected by a Residual Current Device (RCD) for added safety.
6. Kushanda
6.1 Kutanga Pombi
- Ensure the pump has been properly primed (Section 5.3).
- Verify all pipe connections are secure and leak-free.
- Plug the pump into the power outlet. The pump will start automatically if connected to an automated system with a pressure switch.
- Observe the pressure gauge. The pressure should rise as the pump builds pressure.
- If the pump does not draw water within a few minutes, switch it off, re-prime, and check for air leaks in the suction line.
6.2 Otomatiki Kushanda
When integrated into a water supply system with the included pressure switch, the pump will automatically start when water pressure drops (e.g., when a tap is opened) and stop when the desired pressure is reached (e.g., when the tap is closed). The 24-liter cylindrical tank helps maintain consistent pressure and reduces pump cycling.
6.3 Kumisa Pombi
For temporary shutdown, close all water outlets. The pump will stop automatically if operating in an automated system. For complete shutdown or extended periods of non-use, unplug the pump from the power supply.
7. Kuchengeta
Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and extends the lifespan of your pump. Always disconnect the power supply before performing any maintenance.
7.1 Nguva Dzose Macheki
- Ongorora tambo yemagetsi uye plug kuona chero zviratidzo zvekukuvara.
- Check all pipe connections for leaks. Tighten if necessary.
- Ensure the foot valve strainer is clear of debris. Clean if clogged.
- Listen for unusual noises during operation, which may indicate a problem.
7.2 Kuchenesa
Pukuta kunze kwepombi nekushambadziraamp cloth. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners. Ensure the motor's ventilation openings are free from dust and debris.
7.3 Winterization (yemamiriro ekunze anotonhora)
If the pump is exposed to freezing temperatures, it must be drained to prevent damage:
- Bvisa magetsi.
- Bvisa mvura yese kubva mupombiasing by unscrewing the drain plug (if present) or by tilting the pump.
- Disconnect the suction and discharge pipes and drain them completely.
- Chengeta pombi yacho munzvimbo yakaoma, isina chando.
