Your Timex Expedition Scout watch is powered by light. For optimal performance, it is recommended to fully charge the watch before its first use. Place the watch face up under a strong light source (natural sunlight is ideal) for several hours. A full charge provides a four-month power reserve, ensuring continuous operation even in prolonged darkness.

Kuisa iyo nguva uye zuva:
- Pull the crown (located on the right side of the watch case) out to position 2.
- Rotate the crown clockwise or counter-clockwise to set the desired time. Ensure to account for AM/PM if setting the date.
- To set the date, pull the crown out to position 1 (halfway). Rotate the crown until the correct date appears in the date window.
- Once time and date are set, push the crown back into position 0 (normal operating position) to start the watch and seal it against water and dust.

Operating Instruction

The watch features a traditional analog display with hour, minute, and second hands. The black dial includes full Arabic numerals for clear readability. Luminous hands provide visibility in low-light conditions.
Date Display
A date window is located at the 3 o'clock position, displaying the current day of the month. The date mechanism is designed for a 31-day month. For months with fewer days (e.g., February, April, June, September, November), the date will need to be manually adjusted at the beginning of the following month.

This watch is water resistant to 50 meters (165 feet). This rating means it is generally suitable for short periods of recreational swimming, but it is kwete suitable for diving or snorkeling. Avoid operating the crown or pushers while the watch is wet or submerged to prevent water intrusion.

Strap Care
The black stitched leather strap is designed for comfort and durability. To prolong its life, avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight, extreme temperatures, and harsh chemicals. If the strap becomes stiff or discolored, it may be time for a replacement.
