The T605 radio supports dual power options: a rechargeable NiMH battery pack (included) or 2 AA alkaline batteries (included). Ensure the radio is powered off before installing or replacing batteries.

2. Kuchaja Mabhatiri
The T605 radio can be charged via its micro-USB port. A charging cable is included.
- Locate the micro-USB charging port on the side of the radio, typically protected by a rubber flap.
- Open the rubber flap and insert the micro-USB connector into the port.

Operating Instruction
1. Simba On / Off
- To power on: Rotate the On/Off/Volume knob clockwise until you hear a click and the display illuminates.
- To power off: Rotate the On/Off/Volume knob counter-clockwise until you hear a click and the display turns off.

3. Selecting Channels and Privacy Codes
The T605 has 22 channels and 121 privacy codes. To communicate with another radio, both radios must be set to the same channel and privacy code.

- Press the Menu button again until the privacy code flashes.

- To switch to red LED (for night vision preservation): Press the flashlight button again.
- To turn off: Press the flashlight button a third time.
- The flashlight also has a water-activated feature, which can be useful if the radio is dropped in water.

6. NOAA Weather Alerts
Stay informed about real-time weather conditions by accessing NOAA weather channels and alerts.
- Press the Menu button repeatedly until the weather channel icon appears.

- To enable weather alerts, navigate to the alert setting in the menu and activate it. The radio will then alert you to severe weather conditions.
7. Keypad Kiya
The keypad lock prevents accidental changes to your radio settings.

Maintenance
