3. Setup Instructions
Follow these steps to properly set up your NEEWER GM101 Gimbal Tripod Head:
- Secure the Gimbal Head on a Tripod: Attach the gimbal head to your tripod using the 1/4" or 3/8" sockets at the bottom of the panning base. Ensure it is tightened securely.
- Remove the Quick Release Plate: Loosen the mounting plate locking knob and slide out the Arca-type quick release plate from the gimbal head.
- Secure the Camera to the Quick Release Plate: Attach your DSLR or mirrorless camera to the quick release plate using the 1/4" mounting screw. Ensure the camera is firmly attached and the rubber padding protects the camera base.
- Mount Camera Assembly to Gimbal Head: Slide the quick release plate with the camera back into the gimbal head. Tighten the mounting plate locking knob to secure the camera.
- Gadzirisa Urefu: Loosen the angle adjustment knob on the swinging arm. While holding your camera with one hand, adjust the height of the quick release plate platform along the height scale until the camera and lens are balanced. Tighten the knob securely.
- Adjust Angle/Tilt: Loosen the angle lock knob. Adjust the vertical angle of the camera as needed. Tighten the angle lock knob to fix the position.
- Adjust Panning Direction: Loosen the direction adjustment knob on the panning base. Rotate the camera horizontally for panoramic shots. Tighten the knob to lock the panning base in place.

4. Operating Instructions
The GM101 Gimbal Tripod Head is designed for smooth and precise camera movements, especially beneficial for wildlife and sports photography with long telephoto lenses.
Smooth Panning and Tilting:
- Ensure all locking knobs are slightly loosened to allow free movement, but not so loose that the camera is unstable.
- Use the bearing structure for smooth 360° horizontal panning. The panoramic scales on the base assist in precise rotational adjustments.
- The swinging arm allows for fluid vertical tilting. Adjust the balance of your camera and lens on the quick release plate to achieve optimal smooth movement.
- For fixed shots, tighten the respective lock knobs for panning, tilting, and height adjustment to secure the camera in position.
