1. Nhanganyaya

The La Crosse Technology S77925-INT Wireless Color Weather Station provides accurate local weather forecasts and monitors indoor and outdoor conditions. This manual provides detailed instructions for setting up, operating, and maintaining your weather station.

The attractive and easy-to-read color display presents future forecasts, seasonal foliage changes, barometric pressure readings with a 24-hour history graph, and indoor/outdoor humidity values. Custom temperature and humidity alerts ensure you are informed about changes in your home and backyard environment.

This station is compatible with select add-on sensors (sold separately) for expanded environmental monitoring, such as rainfall tracking or additional thermo-hydro sensors for basements, nurseries, greenhouses, garages, and attics. It also features lunar phase display, seven time zones, 12 or 24-hour time settings, and adjustable backlight with auto-dimming. Low battery indicators for both the display and sensor ensure continuous operation.

Note: 3 AA alkaline batteries for backup in the display unit and 2 AA batteries for the sensor are required and not included.

3. Setup Instructions

3.1 Kuisa Simba paDisplay Unit

  1. Insert 3 fresh AA alkaline batteries (not included) into the display unit's battery compartment for backup power.
  2. Plug the 5V power adapter into a wall outlet and then into the display unit. The display will power on.

3.2 Powering and Placing the Outdoor Sensor

  1. Insert 2 fresh AA alkaline batteries (not included) into the outdoor sensor's battery compartment.
  2. Place the outdoor sensor in a shaded location, away from direct sunlight and precipitation, to ensure accurate readings. The sensor should be mounted vertically.

3.3 Yekutanga Synchronization

Once both the display unit and outdoor sensor are powered, they will automatically attempt to synchronize. This process may take a few minutes. Ensure both units are within range (up to 330 feet / 100 meters in open air).

The display unit will automatically search for the atomic time signal (WWVB) at UTC 7:00, 8:00, 9:00, 10:00, and 11:00. The Atomic Time Signal icon will flash while searching and be solid when connected. Press the SET button anytime to manually search for the atomic time signal.

The color display is divided into several sections, providing a comprehensive overview of current and forecasted weather conditions:

  • Chikamu Chekunze: Displays outdoor temperature (°F/°C), outdoor humidity (%RH), and moon phase.
  • Forecast Section: Shows future weather forecast icons (sunny, partly cloudy, cloudy, rainy, snowy) with seasonal foliage changes, barometric pressure readings, and a 24-hour history graph.
  • Chikamu Chemukati: Displays indoor temperature (°F/°C), indoor humidity (%RH), and comfort level indicator.
  • Nguva & Zuva: Shows atomic self-set time (12/24 hour format) and calendar date.

4.2 Bhatani Mabasa

Buttons are located on the top and front of the display unit for various settings and adjustments.

  • SNOOZE/BACKLIGHT Button: Press to adjust backlight intensity (High/Low/Off) or to snooze an alarm.
  • SET Bhatani: Used to enter settings menu and confirm selections.
  • +/- Mabhatani: Used to adjust values in settings menu.
  • ALERTS Button: Used to set and manage temperature/humidity alerts.
  • ALARM Bhatani: Used to set and activate/deactivate the daily alarm.
  • TEMP Bhatani: Kujaira view HI/LO records for temperature and humidity, and to initiate sensor search.

4.3 Adjustable Backlight

When operating with the power cable, the backlight is adjustable to High, Low, or Off. Press and release the SNOOZE/BACKLIGHT button to adjust brightness. When operating on battery power only, the backlight will come on briefly when the SNOOZE/BACKLIGHT button is pressed.

5. Temperature & Humidity Alerts

The weather station allows you to set custom alerts for both indoor and outdoor temperature and humidity levels.

5.1 Setting Alerts

  1. Dzvanya uye ubate iyo ZVINOKanganisa button to enter the alert setting menu.
  2. Shandisa iyo +/- buttons to select the desired alert (Outdoor HI/LO Temp, Indoor HI/LO Temp, Outdoor HI/LO Humidity, Indoor HI/LO Humidity).

  4. Shandisa iyo +/- buttons to adjust the alert value.
  5. Press SET to confirm and move to the next alert setting or exit.

5.2 Active Alerts

When an alert is active and the set value is reached, the station will beep and a flashing alert icon will appear on the display. Press any button to stop the alert sound.

  • Atomic Time Not Setting: Ensure the display unit is placed away from large metal objects or electronics that might interfere with the WWVB signal. Manually search for the signal using the SET bhatani.
