Operating Instruction

Before taking any measurement, ensure the test leads are correctly connected and the function dial is set to the appropriate range.

1. Measuring DC/AC Voltage

  1. Set the function dial to the "V" position (DC or AC). Use the "SEL" button to switch between DC and AC voltage kana zvichidikanwa.
  2. Batanidza tambo tsvuku yekuyedza kudivi rakanaka (+) redunhu uye tambo nhema yekuyedza kudivi risina kunaka (-).
  3. Verenga bhukutage kukosha pane LCD kuratidza.

2. Measuring DC/AC Current (up to 10A)

Yambiro: Usambofa wakabatanidza multimeter panguva imwe chete nevoltage source when measuring current, as this can blow the fuse or damage the meter.

  1. For currents up to 600mA: Insert the red test lead into the "VΩmAHz" jack.
  2. For currents up to 10A: Insert the red test lead into the "10A MAX" jack.
  3. Set the function dial to the "A" position (DC or AC). Use the "SEL" button to switch between DC and AC current if necessary.
  4. Open the circuit where you want to measure current.
  5. Connect the multimeter in series with the circuit, ensuring the current flows through the meter.
  6. Verenga kukosha kwazvino paLCD kuratidza.

3. Kuyera Kupokana

Yambiro: Ita shuwa kuti dunhu harina-simba uye ese ma capacitor anoburitswa asati ayera kuramba.

  1. Set the function dial to the "Ω" (Ohms) position.
  2. Connect the test leads across the component or circuit where you want to measure resistance.
  3. Verenga kukosha kwekupikisa pane LCD kuratidza.

4. Kuyera Capacitance

Yambiro: Iva nechokwadi chekuti capacitor yaburitswa zvizere usati wayera kuti udzivise kukuvara kwemita.

  1. Set the function dial to the "F" (Capacitance) position.
  2. Batanidza bvunzo inotungamira mhiri kwecapacitor terminals.
  3. Verenga iyo capacitance kukosha paLCD kuratidza.

5. Kuyera Frequency

  1. Set the function dial to the "Hz" (Frequency) position.
  2. Batanidza bvunzo dzinotungamira pane iyo chiratidzo sosi.
  3. Verenga frequency kukosha paLCD kuratidza.

6. Diode Test

  1. Set the function dial to the "Diode" symbol position. Use the "SEL" button if necessary to select diode test.
  2. Connect the red test lead to the anode and the black test lead to the cathode of the diode. A forward voltage drop icharatidzwa.
  3. Reverse the leads. An open circuit ("OL") should be displayed for a good diode.

7. Continuity Test (On-off Buzzer)

  1. Set the function dial to the "Continuity" symbol position. Use the "SEL" button if necessary to select continuity test.
  2. Batanidza bvunzo dzinotungamira padunhu kana chikamu.
  3. If the resistance is below a certain threshold (typically <50Ω), the buzzer will sound, indicating continuity.

8. NCV (Non-Contact Voltage) Kunzwa

  1. Set the function dial to the "NCV" position.
  2. Move the top part of the multimeter (where the NCV sensor is located) close to the conductor being tested.
  3. The meter will emit an audible beep and the NCV indicator will light up if AC voltage is detected. The frequency of beeps and flashes increases with stronger voltage.

9. Live Wire Detection

  1. Set the function dial to the "Live" position.
  2. Insert the red test lead into the "VΩmAHz" jack.
  3. Touch the red test lead to the conductor you suspect is live.
  4. If a live wire is detected, the display will show "LIVE" and the meter will emit an audible alarm.

10. Flashlight and Backlight

11. Data Hold (Value Lock)

12. Automatic Shut-down

The multimeter will automatically power off after approximately 15 minutes of inactivity to conserve battery life. To reactivate, turn the function dial to OFF and then back to the desired function, or press any button.

Maintenance

Kuchenesa

Kutsiviwa kwebhatiri

When the low battery indicator appears on the display, replace the batteries as described in the "Battery Installation" section under Setup.
