The TEG-S591 features a durable metal housing with ventilation for heat dissipation. The front panel includes LED indicators for power and port status, while the rear panel houses the DC power input.

4. Setup
The TRENDnet TEG-S591 is an unmanaged switch, designed for plug-and-play operation. No software configuration is required.
- Power Connection: Connect the included power adapter to the DC IN port on the rear of the switch and then plug the adapter into a standard electrical outlet. The PWR LED on the front panel will illuminate.
- Network Device Connection: Connect your network devices (e.g., computers, servers, network-attached storage, routers, access points) to any of the RJ-45 ports (1-9) using standard Ethernet cables (Cat5e or better for 2.5G, Cat6a or better for 10G).
- Verify Connection: Once a device is connected, the corresponding LINK/ACT LED for that port will illuminate, indicating an active network link. The LED will blink to show data activity.
