Gadzirira

1. Musangano Wehurongwa

Connect the main pipe to the pump's outlet. Cut the pipe to desired lengths for each plant. Attach micro-drippers and flow control valves to the pipe using T-connectors, straight connectors, or cross connectors as needed. Ensure all connections are secure to prevent leaks. For easier assembly, soak the ends of the tubing in warm water for a few seconds before pushing them onto connectors.

2. Water Source and Pump Placement

Place the pump unit near your plants and ensure the water inlet hose with the filter is submerged in a water container (e.g., a bucket or bottle). The pump can be hung using the provided hook. Ensure the water source is stable and sufficient for your watering schedule.

3. Anti-Siphon Valve Installation

Install the anti-siphon valve on the main pipe, preferably above the water level of your reservoir. This prevents water from continuously siphoning out of the reservoir when the pump is off, which can lead to overwatering and water waste.

4. Power Supply

The system can be powered by 4 AA batteries (not included) or via the included USB cable. For continuous operation and as a backup, it is recommended to use both power sources simultaneously. Insert batteries into the compartment, ensuring correct polarity. Connect the USB cable to a 5V/1A power adapter (not included).

2. Adjustable Water Flow

Each micro-dripper is equipped with a flow control valve. Rotate the blue valve to adjust the water output for individual plants, ensuring each plant receives the appropriate amount of water based on its type and size. The system supports watering up to 10 plants with a high flow rate of 24 liters per hour.

Maintenance

1. Kuchenesa Sefa

Regularly check and clean the filter at the end of the water inlet hose to prevent blockages and ensure optimal pump performance. Rinse the filter under running water to remove any debris.

2. Checking for Leaks

Periodically inspect all pipe connections and drippers for any signs of leakage. Tighten connections as necessary. If leaks persist, ensure the pipe ends are cut cleanly and fully inserted into the connectors. Using plumber's tape on connections can help prevent leaks.

3. Kutsiviwa kwebhatiri

If using batteries, replace all 4 AA batteries when the low battery alert appears on the display. Ensure correct polarity when inserting new batteries.

4. Winter Storage

Before freezing temperatures, disconnect the system, drain all water from the pipes and pump, and store all components in a dry, frost-free location. This prevents damage from freezing water.
