2. Setup Guide

2.2. Kutanga Kuchaja

Before first use, fully charge your PLAUD Note. Connect the magnetic charging cable to the device and a USB power source (e.g., computer USB port or wall adapter). The device will indicate charging status. A full charge provides up to 30 hours of continuous recording.

Download the official PLAUD App from your smartphone's app store (iOS or Android). Follow the in-app instructions to pair your PLAUD Note with your device via Bluetooth. This app is essential for managing recordings, accessing AI features, and utilizing cloud storage.

The included magnetic ring can be attached to the back of your smartphone or phone case to provide a secure magnetic attachment point for the PLAUD Note, especially useful for MagSafe-compatible devices. Ensure the surface is clean and dry before applying the adhesive side of the ring.

3. Operating Instructions

  • Phone Call Recording: For recording phone calls. The Vibration Conduction Sensor (VCS) captures internal phone sounds for clear call recordings.

3.2. One-Press Recording

To start recording, simply press the designated record button on the PLAUD Note. Press again to stop. The device is designed for quick and intuitive operation, allowing you to capture audio instantly.

3.3. AI Features via PLAUD App

After recording, sync your audio files to the PLAUD App to access the following AI-powered functionalities:

  • Kunyorwa: Converts spoken words into text in 112 languages. Features include speaker labels to distinguish different speakers and auto-paragraphing for readability.
  • Muchidimbu: Generates concise summaries, meeting minutes, and action items from your recordings using advanced AI models. Over 15 professional templates are available.
  • Kucheka Odhiyo: Edit recordings by removing unwanted segments.
  • Audio Merge & Import: Combine multiple audio files or import external audio for processing.
  • Cloud Storage: Unlimited cloud storage for your recordings and transcripts, accessible via the app and web portal.

Wipe the device with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive materials, as they may damage the surface. Ensure the charging port is free of dust and debris.

4.2. Battery Care

To prolong battery life, avoid fully discharging the device frequently. Store the device in a cool, dry place when not in use for extended periods. The device uses 1 CR5 battery (included).
