5. Setup

- Press and hold the power button on the Parent Monitor Unit to turn it on. The camera will automatically power on when connected to power.
5.2 Positioning the Baby Camera Unit
Place the Baby Camera Unit on a flat surface or mount it on a wall in your baby's room. Ensure it provides a clear view of your baby's crib or sleeping area. For optimal performance:
- Keep the camera at least 3 feet (1 meter) away from your baby.
- Ensure the power cord is securely routed and out of your baby's reach.
- Avoid placing the camera near other electronic devices that may cause interference.
- The monitor offers a transmission range of up to 50m indoors and 250m outdoors.

5.3 Pairing (Automatic Connection)
The Baby Camera Unit and Parent Monitor Unit are pre-paired at the factory. Once both units are powered on, they should automatically connect and display the video feed. If the connection is lost or you need to re-pair, refer to the troubleshooting section or the on-screen menu for pairing options.

6. Operating Instructions
6.1 Basic Operation
- Batidza/Kudzima: Press and hold the power button on the monitor unit.
- Kugadziridza Vhoriyamu: Use the volume buttons on the monitor to adjust the audio level.
- Kugadzirisa Kupenya: Adjust screen brightness through the monitor's menu settings.
6.2 Two-Way Audio (Talk-Back Function)
The two-way audio feature allows you to speak to your baby through the monitor, providing comfort from another room.
- Press and hold the Talk button (usually indicated by a microphone icon) on the Parent Monitor Unit.
- Speak clearly into the microphone on the monitor. Your voice will be transmitted to the Baby Camera Unit.
- Release the Talk button to hear your baby again.

6.3 Lullabies
The monitor includes 8 built-in lullabies to help soothe your baby to sleep.
- Access the Lullaby menu from the Parent Monitor Unit.
- Select a lullaby to play. You can usually choose to play a single lullaby or loop all of them.
- Adjust the lullaby volume as needed.

The Baby Camera Unit features a temperature sensor that monitors the room temperature and displays it on the Parent Monitor Unit.
- The current room temperature is displayed on the monitor screen.
- An alarm will sound if the temperature falls below 20°C (68°F) or rises above 30°C (86°F).

6.5 VOX Mode (Voice Operated eXchange)
VOX mode is an intelligent power-saving feature. When activated, the monitor screen will turn off to conserve battery. It will automatically turn on and alert you when it detects sound (e.g., your baby crying) in the baby's room.
- Activate/deactivate VOX mode through the monitor's menu.
- You can adjust the VOX sensitivity level in the settings.
- In VOX mode, the monitor can operate for approximately 15 to 24 hours on battery.
6.6 Kudyisa Yeuchidzo
Set a feeding reminder to ensure you maintain a regular feeding schedule for your baby.
- Navigate to the Feeding Reminder option in the monitor's menu.
- Set your desired feeding intervals (e.g., 2 hours, 4 hours, 6 hours).
- The monitor will alert you when it's time for the next feeding.
