3. Setup Instructions

  1. Power Connection: Connect the included power adapter to the DC 9V port on the back of the keyboard and then to a standard electrical outlet. Alternatively, for portable use, insert 6 AA batteries (not included) into the battery compartment on the underside of the keyboard.

  2. Music Stand Installation: Insert the music stand into the designated slot on top of the keyboard.

  3. Sustain Pedal Connection: Plug the sustain pedal into the "SUSTAIN" jack on the rear panel of the keyboard.

  4. Kubatanidza Maikorofoni: Connect the microphone to the "MIC" input jack on the rear panel.

  5. Headphones Connection: For silent practice, plug the headphones into the "PHONES" jack on the rear panel. This will mute the internal speakers.

  6. External Audio Input (AUX IN): Use the audio cable to connect an external audio device (e.g., smartphone, tablet) to the "AUX IN" jack to play along with your favorite music.

4. Operating Instructions

4.3. Selecting Tones and Rhythms

  • Toni: Shandisa iyo TONE buttons or number pad to select from 600 built-in tones.
  • Mitinhimira: Shandisa iyo RHYTHM buttons or number pad to select from 400 built-in rhythms.
  • Nziyo dzeDemo: Access 50 demo songs using the DEMO bhatani.

4.4. Teaching Modes

The keyboard offers two teaching modes to assist with learning:

  • Practice with Lights (Teach 1 - Follow): The lighted keys guide you by illuminating the notes to be played, helping beginners learn and master each note efficiently.
  • Concert Mode (Teach 2 - Concert): Synchronizes with built-in background music, simulating an orchestral performance.

4.5. Advanced Mabasa

The EY300 includes several advanced features:

  • Kurekodha uye Kutamba: Shandisa iyo REC/PROG button to record your performances and the ITAMBA button for playback.
  • Chords: Activate chord functions for automatic accompaniment.
  • Drum Kits: Access various percussion sounds.
  • Metronome: Use the built-in metronome for timing practice.
  • Transposition: Adjust the pitch of the keyboard up or down.
  • Kupatsanura: Divide the keyboard into two sections, each with a different tone.
  • Vibrato: Add a vibrato effect to the sound.
