Troubleshooting and Important Considerations
- Fish Getting Stuck in Filter: Some users have reported small fish, particularly Betta fish or shrimp, getting stuck in the filter box. It is recommended to add a fine mesh or sponge over the filter intake slots to prevent this, especially for smaller or slow-moving species.
- Filter Flow Too Strong: If the water flow from the filter is too strong for your fish, consider adding decorations or plants to break up the current, or explore methods to baffle the outflow.
- Betta Fish Suitability: The highly reflective glass of this tank may cause stress to Betta fish, as they may perceive their reflection as another male Betta. Additionally, the filter flow might be too strong for their long fins. Consider these factors when choosing fish species.
- Excessive Bubbles from Filter: If the filter produces too many bubbles, ensure all components are correctly assembled and the water level is adequate. Disassemble and clean the pump and air outlet if necessary.
- Filter Motor Malfunction: If the filter motor stops working, first check the power connection. If the issue persists, the motor may require replacement.
- Temperature Display Inaccurate: Ensure the temperature probe is fully submerged in the water. The display monitors temperature but does not heat the water; an external heater is necessary for temperature control.
