3. Setup

  1. Power Connection: Connect a 9V DC 300mA power adapter (center negative, not included) to the DC 9V input port on the rear of the pedal. Ensure the power supply meets the specified requirements to prevent damage.
  2. Kupinza Kwekunzwa: Connect your electric guitar or bass to the INPUT-L (MONO) jack using a standard 1/4-inch instrument cable. For stereo input, connect a second instrument to the INPUT-R jack.
  3. Audio Output: Connect the OUTPUT-L (MONO) jack to your amplifier or audio interface. For stereo output, connect the OUTPUT-R jack as well.
  4. Musoro Wekubuda: For silent practice, connect 1/8-inch stereo headphones to the headphone jack on the rear of the pedal.
  5. USB Connection: For file management, connect the USB-C port to your computer using the provided USB cable.

4. Operating Instructions

  • Rekodha: Press the left footswitch (REC/DUB/PLAY) once to start recording. The LED progress light will indicate recording status.
  • Tamba: Press the left footswitch again to stop recording and start playback of your loop.
  • Overdub: While a loop is playing, press the left footswitch once to enter overdub mode. Any new playing will be added to the existing loop. Press again to stop overdubbing and continue playback.
  • Mira: Press the right footswitch (CLEAR/UNDO/REDO/STOP/PLAY) once to stop playback.
  • Bvisa While stopped, press and hold the right footswitch to clear the current loop.

Advanced Functions:

  • Dzokorora/Dzokorora: During playback, press the right footswitch once to undo the last overdub. Press and hold to redo.
  • Imwe Shot: This function allows for single playback of a loop. Use the SELECT knob to navigate to the 'Once' option and toggle it On/Off.
  • Fade Out: The Fade Out function allows the loop to gradually decrease in volume to silence. Use the SELECT knob to navigate to the 'Fade out' option and toggle it On/Off.

File Management (USB Data Transfer):

The EROK XS-02 supports convenient file management via USB connection to a PC. You can import, export, and delete 44.1kHz 16-bit WAV files without additional software.

  1. Connect the XS-02 to your computer via USB. The pedal will appear as a removable drive.
  2. Open the 'WAVE' folder on the pedal's drive.
  3. Create a new folder inside 'WAVE' with the format 'W01', 'W02', up to 'W40', corresponding to the desired memory slot.
  4. Copy your 44.1kHz 16-bit WAV audio file into the newly created folder.
  5. Rename the WAV file to 'REC01.wav', 'REC02.wav', etc., matching the folder number (e.g., for folder W01, rename to REC01.wav).
  6. Safely eject the device from your computer.

Exporting/Deleting Audio Files:

  • Connect the XS-02 to your computer via USB.
  • Navigate to the 'WAVE' folder to access your recorded loops.
  • Unogona kukopa files from these folders to your computer to export them, or delete files/folders to free up space.
