2. Safety Information

  • Before starting, inspect the machine for loose parts, damage, or leaks. Do not operate if any issues are found.
  • The emergency stop bar is located on the feeding drum. In case of emergency or equipment malfunction, push this bar to quickly stop the machine.
  • Ensure tail lights are functional when transporting the unit on public roads.

3.4 Collapsible Feeding Box

The feeding box is designed to be collapsible for storage or transport. Ensure it is securely unfolded and locked into position before operation.

4. Operating Instructions

Follow these steps for safe and effective operation of your DCH7 Wood Chipper.

4.1 Kutanga Injini

  1. Ensure the chipper is on a level surface and the emergency stop bar is disengaged.

  3. Set the choke lever (if cold starting).
  4. Turn the ignition key to the 'START' position. Release when the engine starts.

The DCH7 features a 7.5x6.5 inch feed roller and dual variable speed hydraulic infeed system. It can handle wood or branches with a maximum diameter of 7 inches.

  • Always feed material butt-end first.
  • Do not force material into the feeder. The hydraulic infeed will pull the material automatically.
  • Use the three-gear control bar to manage the feeding speed and direction (Motor Reversal, Motor Advance, Motor Stopped).
  • Never reach into the feed chute while the machine is running.

4.3 Discharge Chute Adjustment

The 360° rotary discharge chute and adjustable deflector allow for precise debris discharge. Adjust the chute direction and deflector angle to direct chipped material as needed.

The chipper is equipped with 2pcs 8'' blades and 2pcs 6'' anvil made of A8(5Cr8MoVSi) material. Sharp blades are crucial for efficient chipping.

  • Inspect blades for sharpness and damage before each use.
  • Blades can be sharpened or replaced. The discharge chute can be fully opened for easier access during maintenance and blade replacement.
  • Always wear heavy-duty gloves when handling blades.

5.3 Hydraulic System

Regularly check hydraulic fluid levels and inspect hoses and connections for leaks or damage.
