3. Setup

3.1 Charging the Tuner

  1. Locate the USB-C charging port on the tuner.
  2. Connect the provided USB-C cable to the tuner and a compatible USB power source (e.g., computer, wall adapter).
  3. The battery indicator on the display will show charging status. A full charge provides approximately 10 hours of working time.

3.2 Attaching to Your Instrument

  1. Gently open the clip of the tuner.
  2. Attach the tuner securely to the headstock of your guitar, bass, ukulele, or violin. Ensure the silicone pads make contact with the instrument to prevent damage and provide a stable grip.
  3. Adjust the display angle for optimal viewing. The tuner head can rotate 360° and tilt 135° forward and backward.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Simba On/Kudzima

  • To power on, press and hold the power/mode button (usually located on the back or side) for a few seconds.
  • To power off, press and hold the power/mode button again. The tuner will also automatically power off after 5 minutes of inactivity.

4.2 Kusarudza Nzira Yokugadzirisa

  • After powering on, briefly press the power/mode button to cycle through the available tuning modes: Chromatic (C), Guitar (G), Bass (B), Ukulele (U), and Violin (V).
  • For Guitar mode, a brief press of the button will also allow you to toggle between standard tuning, open tunings (G, D, E), and drop tunings (♭, ♭♭).

4.3 Kugadzirisa Chiridzwa Chako

  1. Sarudza nzira yakakodzera yekugadzirisa chimbo chako.
  2. Pluck a single string on your instrument. The tuner will detect the vibration and display the note name and pitch deviation on the LCD screen.
  3. Kuverenga Chiratidziro:
    • If the needle points to the left (yellow area), the note is flat. Tighten the string.
    • If the needle points to the right (red area), the note is sharp. Loosen the string.
    • When the needle is in the center (blue area) and the note name is correct, your string is in tune.
  4. Repeat for all strings until your instrument is fully tuned.

5. Tuning Modes Overview

The New bee GT30 tuner offers a range of modes to accommodate various instruments and playing styles:

  • Chromatic (C): Tunes any note, ideal for instruments not covered by specific modes or for custom tunings.
  • Guitar (G): Standard guitar tuning. Also supports open tunings (G, D, E) and drop tunings (♭, ♭♭) by cycling through options with the mode button.
  • Bass (B): Standard bass guitar tuning.
  • Ukulele (U): Standard ukulele tuning.
  • Violin (V): Standard violin tuning.

6. Kuchengeta

  • Kuchenesa: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the tuner's display and body. Avoid using abrasive cleaners or solvents.
