This manual provides instructions for setup, operation, and maintenance to ensure optimal performance.

3. Setup Instructions

3.1 Attaching the Lens to the Phone

  1. Use the provided EVA Pads to fill any gap between your phone's camera and the phone adapter clamp. Choose the appropriate thickness (2mm, 3mm, or 4mm) to ensure your phone camera is flush with the clamp.
  2. Clip the fixed position of the phone adapter onto one end of your phone, then stretch and secure the phone within the clamp.
  3. Align the phone adapter's opening with your phone's primary camera lens.
  4. Tighten the top locking screw on the phone adapter to secure the alignment.
  5. Align the Telephoto Lens with the lens's thread interface on the phone adapter and rotate clockwise to tighten and secure it.

3.2 Adjusting for Phone Protrusion (EVA Pads)

If your mobile phone camera protrudes, use the appropriate thickness of EVA spacer (2mm, 3mm, or 4mm) and stick it on the clamp. This ensures your phone camera is flush with the clamp, providing stable and clear imaging.

3.3 Attaching the Lens to the Tripod

The lens features a built-in tripod mount ring with a standard 1/4"-20 thread. The included Ball-head Tripod JJ029 can be attached directly to this thread. Alternatively, the lens's 38mm quick-release mount can be used with a compatible quick-release plate on a tripod.

  1. Screw the tripod's 1/4"-20 thread into the 38mm quick-release base's 1/4"-20 thread hole on the telephoto lens.
  2. Rotate to tighten until the telephoto lens is securely fixed onto the tripod.

3.4 Installing the Eyecup

To use the telephoto lens as a standalone monocular, slide the 37mm silicone eyecup onto the thread interface of the telephoto lens. This provides a comfortable viewing experience.

3.5 Kuisa Mafirita

The lens is compatible with 62mm filters. To install a filter, select a 62mm filter and screw it into the front of the lens in a clockwise direction until secure.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Identifying the Primary Camera Lens

To ensure proper alignment and optimal image quality, it is crucial to identify your phone's primary camera lens. Open your phone's camera app and cover each camera with your hand. The lens that completely blocks the shooting view is the primary camera lens.

4.2 Disabling Macro Control (for iOS)

For iPhone 13 Pro/Pro Max, iPhone 14 Pro/Pro Max, iPhone 15 Pro/Pro Max, iPhone 16 Pro/Pro Max, and iPhone 17 Pro/Pro Max users, it is required to disable Macro Control to prevent a black screen or focusing issues caused by lens switching. Ensure this setting is off.

  1. Enda ku Settings > Kamera > Macro Control, and turn the Macro Control off.
  2. Tap the "macro icon" to disable macro mode when it appears on the camera screen.
  3. Once macro mode is off, you can continue shooting.

4.3 Kutarisa

To adjust the focus distance and capture clear images, rotate the focus ring on the telephoto lens until your subject appears sharp in your phone's camera view.

4.4 Switching between Landscape and Portrait Shooting

The integrated rotating tripod mount ring allows for quick switching between landscape and portrait orientations. Simply loosen the tripod mount ring locking knob, rotate your phone 360 degrees to the desired orientation, and then tighten the knob to secure the angle.

5. Kuchengeta

  • Kuchenesa: Use the provided cleaning cloth to gently wipe the lens surfaces. For stubborn smudges, use a lens cleaning solution specifically designed for optical glass. Avoid abrasive materials or harsh chemicals.
  • Kuchengeta: When not in use, store the lens with both front and rear caps attached in a dry, dust-free environment. Keep it away from extreme temperatures and humidity.
  • Kubata: Handle the lens with care to avoid drops or impacts, which can damage the optical elements or mechanical parts.

6.1 Black Edges in Photos

If you observe black edges (vignetting) in your photos, this indicates that the phone's camera is not fully zoomed in or aligned correctly with the telephoto lens. To eliminate black edges, enlarge your phone's shooting magnification to 2.0-2.4X.
